A couple questions about Tiled

I downloaded Tiled and figured out how the program works pretty quickly.  It's fairly simple and I like that.  I have a few questions: Can I use any image file to create a tileset?  (This would allow me to pull mats and such and then customize them.) Can I combine tiles from different tilesets into a single map?  (Say I use a tileset that's a grassland map to get my grass and an ocean map to get my water, so I can draw a grassland bisected by a river; neither source has everything I need.) This really covers everything I need to need about the program.  My other questions about configuring the image - 70' x 70' - and then saving my map as an image file to upload here tell me what I need to know.  This looks like a good program for me because I need something simple and easy to use because my spatial reasoning and drawing abilities are really not fantastic (my verbal IQ is something like 40 points higher than my performance IQ).
