Pathfinder Playtest: Doomsday Dawn A noblewoman's vault in Magnimar is pillaged and you are tasked with recovering a lost family heirloom. Can you find it in time for her to visit the Swallowtail Festival? Welcome We allow new players as we will all be new to the rules. The first chapter of the game is as such aimed at introducing us to the rules, and for testing character creation. In the playtest we will play through a seven-chapter adventure. They will require making several characters, as well as reporting on play using a tracking sheet, and feedback surveys. Particulars Slots:  1 slot open. Start: Starting Monday 27th of August 8 am UTC. Timing:  Every other week. Odd week numbers. Other: Discord is required to play (we use voice-chat and text over discord).  Note:  This is not Pay-to-play. I do not believe in charging players when this is technically voluntary work for Paizo. Format We'll be playing marathon sessions every other week. A session is likely to last 4 hours. So be comfortable with that, and have the time. If you have problems scheduling or joining on time then this is probably not for you. After each session you will either make new characters or level up existing ones, depending on what is next. We will also be discussing the session and rules used. The playtest will run until the  end of November  latest.  General Rules Respect other players. Everyone should feel safe and comfortable in this group. No rules-lawyering (we can discuss rules after each session) . All players are expected to read and understand the Pathfinder Playtest 2E rules (links found below ) . Do NOT read Doomsday Dawn; the adventure used in this playtest. Downloads The rules can be found here:  Rulebook   (requires a Paizo account to download) The feedback sheet for players can be found here:  Tracking Sheet   (does not require any account)

I'd like to play.  I've been keen to get in and test the new material, and give feedback. It was just a matter of finding a group.  I'm happy to go as long as the tests continue. Question thou, wouldn't Doomsday Dawn be finished testing by the 27th?  Since they are testing in two week chunks for each segment, isn't DD the first one and hasn't it already been going on for a bit?  Or am I wrong about that?
Hi, I have invited you so check your PMs. Regarding your question. DD is a full adventure. There are seven chapters, the first of which is being playtest until the 27th. I aim at having each session cover one chapter.
Updated to reflect that we now have one slot open.
I would love to get in on this if it isnt too late! Been hoping for a chance to try the playtest for a while now.

I've been so excited about this playtest, but my real life group had to change its schedule before the first playtest and I had to bow out. As a longtime 5e DM and a longtime Glass Cannon listener this second edition seems like the perfect mix of keeping the gameplay from being bogged down rules, but also providing enough complexity to make your character your own. The three-action system is so customizable. I've torn through the rulebook and rolled more than a handful of characters. As for me I'm big into roleplay and character voices. In combat I lean toward support/buff casters, but I'm comfortable with most all roles. When I play a martial character I tend towards skills that can alter the battlefield or weaken foes for others -  I prefer that to rolling big damage numbers myself. Either way, every character should be there to move the story forward in an interesting way and to make sure everybody gets to shine. I'd love to join in if you still have a spot Edit: I misread the timezone. I won't be able to join. Have a great time, though
