[LFP][DND 5E][EST] DM Searching for players for RP-heavy Gothic adventure.

Vampires! Eldritch Horrors! Gargoyles! Existential Terror! I'll be starting an RP-focused late night game on saturdays at midnight. The game will take place in the region of Travastelle, where dark powers have already overrun the land. Demons prowl the forests, and the undead plague has conquered much of civilization. There remain 5 cities safe behind high walls, and many other villages and towns left open to attack. Life is brutal, and often cut short. If you like Castlevania, heavy metal, and are interested in a grim-toned game, I'm your DM. Leave a post with your name, age, how long you've been playing DnD, and your character idea.
Rust 26 half a year Human paladin (Depending on the level we start as I'll be taking the Oath of Vigilance.)
Sup!  Matthew, 27 Years old, 12 Years D&D 3.5 recently into 5e. Mostly Rogue or Barbarian classes.  Barbarian - Totemwarrior or Zealot Rogue - Assassin or Mastermind.

Howdy. I'm Kirin, 20 years old. I haven't done a whole lot of D&D, only doing a few games in the past few years, but I spend a lot of my spare time writing, and I think that makes me a pretty good fit for a more RP-focused D&D game. As for my character, I would have to go with a Great Old One Warlock, taking the Pact of the Tome at 3rd level. I've prepared a little blurb on him, if you have the time to read it: Erebus was your typical studious young man. A bright future had lain ahead of him, and all who knew him would say that he might make a great scholar some day. Provided, of course, that he remain dedicated to his studies. Erebus, however, cared not for the tiresome rigors of academia. He sought shortcut after shortcut, a quick path towards the secrets he longed to know. The truths of the universe, the questions and answers that define creation. Eventually, he found his shortcut. His studies lead him to the dark, ancient deity known as Volgna-Gath, "Keeper of Secrets" and "Guardian of Knowledge." It was almost too good to be true. Erebus made the invocation of mud that would invoke Volgna-Gath, offering his blood to the great old one, in hopes of striking a pact with the deity. A humble servant for the dark god, in exchange for even the slimmest chance of knowing everything there is to know.  Erebus is no longer your typical studious young man, but rather an agent of Volgna-Gath, gathering the secrets of men in a vain attempt to please his master. EDIT: I feel I should point out, I can quickly write up another character, and change details on this character should this turn out to not quite work with the lore. I'm also more than willing to make a character based on other party members, in an effort to round out the party better.

Name: Cameron Age: 32 How long I've been playing D&D: 24 years Character idea: If you're willing to allow Matt Mercer's blood hunter then I'd a rough around the edges Witcher type. If not, then either a spacy mystic or a way of the shadow monk who believes the shadows are the only way of life.
Kaiti. 22. Experience 1 long campaign with a merciless dm. Changling Rouge. Dragonborn Druid.
Hello! My name is Joel, I'm 18, and I'm new to playing D&D but I am not a beginner when it comes to roleplaying games, as I've been doing so for about 9 years now. If I were to make a character, it would likely be a half-orc or a drow, but I am willing to change. I'm a very flexible roleplayer who can take on many different types of characters.
My name's Nick; I'm a 25-year-old nursing student from Canada. I've been playing DnD for the better part of the past year, though I've wanted to play for much longer than that. I have a few character ideas bouncing around in my head, though the one that fits the best with the setting as described is probably a variant human Assassin Rogue/Gloom Stalker multiclass. The idea is that they're a True Neutral sort who was raised and disciplined to consider themselves a tool to be used by people with stronger convictions-any personality or desires of their own were thoroughly beat out of them in an effort to make them the ultimate assassin. I'm hoping for a chance for some character development with that as the starting point.
Hey, my name's Nick. I'm 16, and I've been playing for about a year now. If you're cool with Unearthed Arcana, I figured playing a Grave Cleric would totally fit your theme, but if not then I'd like to play a Tempest Cleric, both would have Half-Elf race. I'm thinking Pirate background, if that's all good with you. Definitely Chaotic Neutral, a scavenger's gotta get by somehow, yknow?
Hi there, seems like an interesting game. I got by Will or Saber I'm 25 and have been playing D&D and other tabletops on and off for oh about 10 years now. I make a lot of characters in my down time that I would like to play, for this one I think a Tiefling or Dragonborn Fighter (a lot of their archtypes could be good for this setting from what you posted already) could be interesting, someone who spent time helping to protect one of the cities as a guard or something like that. I'd have to know more about how the people of the world respond to each race of course but it's a general idea.
Name: Ryan Age: 17 Experience: About 264 hours on roll20 and like 2 years of 5e but I pick things up fast Character idea: Half-Elf Warlock (Old One and Black Tome)
