[LFP] [EST] [D&D5E] Curse of Strahd

Hey guys, looking for a few players to run through the Curse of Strahd module, format will be voice only over discord, high RP, high difficulty. I also have the roll20 module and assets, games would be Monday’s at 7pm EST I am a 22 year old biomed major at my university, have been playing 5e for about a year now. In the post indicating your interest please let me know your experience with fifth edition and if you have any experience with Curse of Strahd. Maybe a loose character idea or two would be appropriate.  We will be starting at level 2.  Thanks for your interest. 

I've been playing 5th edition since it started and love it. I've been wanting to play Curse of Strahd forever. Was just wondering if you'd allow the Blood Hunter class written by Matt Mercer. It fits in with the setting of Ravenloft really well.

Absolutely, I love the blood hunter class as well as all the other assets Matthew Mercer has put out including lingering soul class and the feats and subclasses in the taldorei campaign guide.

Awesome! I'd love to play a blood hunter monster slayer who's decided that enough is enough and wants to purge Ravenloft.

Hello Shane, I'm interested in the Curse of Strahd module.  I've been playing 5e for about a year and a half.  Currently, I'm DM'ing Hoard of the Dragon Queen on roll20 for some of my local friends.  Besides the basic premise and the character Strahd I don't know any details of the campaign. I'd be interested in playing an ancestral guardian barbarian.  I'm thinking my ancestral spirits were enemies of Strahd and his kind and are driving my rage for revenge, or something along those lines. I'd also be up for playing a light domain cleric if needed to round out a party. Thanks for your consideration!

I'm planning on playing a Half-Dragon Sorcerer who is interested in learning about Stradh and his kind as a way of documenting them better for her university studies. Hey there, I'd be interested in joining as i've never really played an actual module for D&D, I'm 22 and I always try to be friendly to the group and have everyone enjoy the adventure more. When it comes to character I was thinking of maybe a Ranger that'd eventually develop to Monster hunter, or maybe a gloom stalker even, that seems fun! When it comes to race i'm still deciding, since if I can roll I like picking  fun race, while if its point buy I tend to pick a race that'd actually help my class as to not be useless... Sounds like fun.  I am relatively new and have never played a premade module.  I am an electrical engineer turned lawyer, and in my RPG/MMO experience, I like to play whatever role necessary to fill empty niches in my team.  That often means I play a utilitarian character, and that's fine with me.  I am EST, like you. I am only vaguely familiar with the Curse of Strahd module, but it sounds like a fun theme.  It seems like a Grave Domain Cleric would serve the party well and fit the theme perfectly.  Would you permit me to play a (non-evil) Dark Elf in that role?  Perhaps he is racially Dark Elf, but he is an albino discarded at birth, so he looks like an albino Wood Elf and has never lived among Dark Elves.  I like the idea of something uncanny, out-of-place, and superficially creepy -- but good at heart.
