Well met and salutations! I have played D&D off and on since 1989. I grew up reading Dragonlance and R.A. Salvatore novels, watching old classics like Conan, Red Sonja, Beastmaster, and Clash of the Titans. GAME BASICS: I began using Roll20 and Discord (SirCaphaghus#1023) since last September. I am currently looking for an active and persistent group to join. I live in Virginia and am on EST and free to adventure all day Saturday and Sunday. Due to work on the weekdays, I prefer weekend sessions between 2-6 hours long and am able to go for hours longer, just as long as we can take a bio break. I am punctual and always communicate with the DM well ahead of games in case there are any changes. CHARACTERS: My sword and bow have slain many a foe, yet my mind is sharp enough to find my way out of an ill-advised or unnecessary skirmish. I prefer to play martial characters such as Paladins, Rangers, Fighters, Barbarians, Clerics, and Rogues over magic-wielders, but am willing to play other classes if it comes down to it. PLAYER INTERACTIONS: I don't hoard loot and prefer to give others players get first dibs at all treasure. I have no qualms with letting other players take the lead during interactions with NPCs, and try to stay in character when the plot calls for a course of action. I tend to stick with LG or CG for my alignment depending on my character class. I am hoping to find a group of goodhearted companions with a great sense of humor, but with folks who also are still capable of treating one another with dignity and respect.  CHARACTER INTERACTIONS: I am young at heart and try to make the story as exciting and theatrical as possible to include using character voices from time to time. I enjoy taking daring actions and facing real character flaws, but I don't like to see players going full Leroy Jenkins and sabotaging the DM's story or purposefully trying to screw over the other companions. I love to develop my characters into the campaign settings and building on the story offline with the DM. If possible, I like to employ the entire setting into tactics such as using the terrain and weather, the time of day, or implementing objects in the surrounding atmosphere or objects to build like the A-Team or MacGyver.  PERSONAL BIO: I'm 43 years young and have been happily married for 21 years. I am the father of 2 awesome kids (18 and 13), and I have been serving in the United States Army for 23 years now. That said, I prefer to stay out of politics and controversial issues and just really enjoy playing D&D in my downtime to escape all the other drama floating around on the internet.
