I'm
starting a new long term campaign that's going to begin with Waterdeep: Dragon
Heist and roll into Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage when it releases.
We'll be playing on Roll20 (obviously) and using Discord for voice. We will be
playing on Wednesdays starting at 9 PM EST and running approximately 3
hours.
A bit about me as a DM: I've run multiple 5e campaigns on Roll20. In
my experience, they typically peter out as players abandon the game.
Over time I've accrued a few consistent players who are engaged and
contribute. I'm looking to add to that number for this campaign. If you
can't commit long term, that's okay! I've been there! But if you can't
commit this isn't the game for you.
As far as expectations of players: knowing Roll20 and 5e well is
required. I'm well versed in both systems and the other players are
similarly knowledgeable, so this game will be for (relatively)
experienced players only. I don't mean you need to know how many second
level spell slots a level 7 Paladin has off the top of your head, but
knowing how to create a character, fill out your sheet, and play that
character is required. Basically, if I ask for a Dex Saving Throw, you
don't have to ask what to click.
Additionally, this game is for mature players only. Not that we don't joke around, but there's a definite je ne sais quoi
to it. For reference, we're all ~30 give or take. Breaking out a sick
Ghostbusters reference when you enter a haunted house is awesome, trying
to roleplay a character from Rick & Morty is not.
Now that the boring legalese is taken care of, please send me a
message or reply here if you're interested. Give me a brief blurb as to
who you are as a player so I can figure out if you'd be a good fit.
Thanks.
