Looking For Group - Wanted: 0 players

I see a lot of these on the Looking for Group section, and they just kinda take up space/make it hard for people to actually find stuff.
I'm afraid I don't understand... what sort of posts?
Random example: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/12060/deadlands" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/12060/deadlands</a>... There's a specific number of slots they want filled. All of said slots are filled. Thus, they seem kinda pointless to still have on LFG.
I see both your meaning and frustration with that. Something we should look at!
We keep ours like that because even though it is filled, someone can apply and be put on the waiting list. for when someone drops or changes jobs, life situation, or they just aren't into narrative style, etc
That's cool, Trollkin! But I think it'd be useful for that sort of thing to be something you could specifically exclude(or include, for that matter) from searches with a checkbox.

Actually, the ability to disable a listing for a full game is on the other end of the process ... the GM gets that choice. Looking For Player listings can be disabled by the GM, so, you have to assume that a GM with their listing enabled does not consider their game full despite the number of open spots listed. So apply to the game! For my first game, I had to invite 11 players to get 5 to the table! Now, I advertised that my game was great for new role players so, of course, I got iffy commitments. But the moral of the story is ... if I had disabled my listing at 0 open slots, I would not have played. If people ignored my listing at 0 open slots, I would not have played.

Maybe there just needs to be a way for the GM top distinguish their game between "actively seeking players" and "waiting list"? Tom

I've put it into the description before when necessary but something a little more noticeable would be better. Maybe a little stoplight icon? Green - accepting players; yellow - wait list; red - full pending removal of game from LFG.
+1 - Liking Dave D.'s color coding

When all slots are filled, it would be nice to have the game either at the bottom of the list or not on the list. That's my vote anyways :)

+1 to Daniel B.'s idea...it does seem as if there are quite a few listings shown for zero to -1, -2, etc. slots available. Or even just a prominent green "looking for players" icon that can simply be switched on or off and used by potential players to sort the LFG list might help.
i would love to see something like this. my suggestion in another thread (dealing with tags on the search list) was to add a "recruiting" tag this could be expanded to something like "recruiting - players" and "recruiting - waitlist", to allow the GM to indicate whether he needs more active players, or he'd like to know if there are people interested in joining if/when a spot opens... or if neither tag is used, it can be assumed the GM considers his group full and stable for the foreseeable future. i also like Dave D's 'traffic light' style system, and Daniel B's auto-sorting. a combination of the above would be optimal. searching LFG, you could choose to not show groups that are not recruiting, or only recruiting for waitlist... and even if you didn't remove them from your search, waitlist groups would appear after open groups, and full groups would appear after that. it should be easily possible to link the tag and the 'stoplight' to each other, so that activating one sets the other to the appropriate position.
