Interest Check: Emerald City Knights (Mutants and Mastermind 3rd Ed)

So, I'm in need of some GM practice, and in this essence, I wanted to make a long lasting campaign in Mutants and Masterminds in the near future. Problem is, I haven't GMed the system in many, many months, perhaps even years, so in order to practice, I wanted to run the group through Emerald City Knights, a 5 chapter campaign that is around power level 10. It's a pre-written campaign, the only one 3rd Ed has right now (I think, I could be wrong). Having read through it, I think this can work really well as it is very, very entertaining. What do you need to know/do? If you're interested, here's a bit of info on the setting: Emerald City is a rather sleepy city on the North West Pacific coast, a neighbour of Portland, Seattle and Tacoma. It's near the Atlas Mountain range, with Mt. Forge to its north, and Mt. Stanley to its south. While originally focussing on fishing and lumber, a recent tech boom has made Emerald City one of the most profitable cities in the world, home to MarsTech Industries, Brande Management and USNet. The City is practically devoid of crime, so most heroes who arrive rarely stay; too little business, as it were. The city does indeed have a connection to the Wizard of Oz. Some embrace it, others shun it. More details on the city can be given during character creation. Speaking of, I'd like to have the group make their characters together. While I'm not one for 'group synergy' (I prefer the players to play what they want rather than forcing them to take a kind of role, especially since there might be people who don't want to play specific parts) but it would be nice to bounce ideas off of each other. As a heads up, I'll be banning the powers Nemesis and Nullify. Nullify since it's actually remarkably OP by itself, and Nemesis because the power is rather complicated and will require me to fill out a character sheet for each and every major bad guy, and that's not too fun after a while :( One other thing to consider is that I am looking for folks who are more focussed on the roleplay, and as such, you may want to consider why your character would live in Emerald City, especially if they're been a Superhero for a while before the campaign's beginnings. When will this take place? I operate on a GMT time, and my work is shift based; I will never know what time my shifts will be in the future until half way through the week, and even then, they are subject to change. In this respect, I'd rather not do anything during the week, as I would not wish to cancel sessions or cut them short because of a sudden change at work. Fridays and Saturdays will typically be the best days for me, between 9 and 10 in the evening as a start time. It can be earlier in the day if it's a Saturday or a Sunday, but the game may have a break during that time while I go have dinner (dinner is a bit weird, time wise in my family), and said break could be as short as 10 minutes or as long as an hour. If it is to be during the week, I will have to start at 10 pm GMT and then we have to play it by ear at that point. If I have an early shift, it'll be either cancelled or go no later than 1:00 am. if it's a late shift, it can go on for as long as I can, and then there will likely be times in between that. At this point in time, I am aiming for Saturdays, from 10pm GMT onwards , This time may be changed to accommodate folks, but right now, this is what I have that's 'ok'. How does this go? I like to play things in a very RP focussed method, so, the longer, more detailed actions the better. As a rule, I don't exactly say no, and if a player wishes to do something destructive, silly or both, I will let it happen, but I will be applying logical consequences to that action. Maps will be used mainly for combat. Anything that doesn't require that sort of detail will be done primarily with word of mouth, though this can change too. The game is power level 10, and I will need no less than 6 players, and no more than 8. As an idea, Power level 10 is the average city guardian level of heroing. Below that, at around about 8 or 9, can be considered that level too, while power level 6 or 7 is more or less the Street level of heroing, and the cusp of superhuman and regular human. We'll be using Roll20's communication system and If you're interested, please send me a private message, and if you have any questions that bar you from wanting to join just yet, either post them here, or send me a PM. Extra things I'm not an expert on the use of Roll20, so please bear with me should it all go awry, and if you have any tokens you would like me to use, then tell me, and I can work it out (either, I can give you contact details so you can send me the file, send me a link to download the file, or send me a link to a picture, and I can make the token from there.)
I'm interested in this campaign, and will want to play either a tank or an investigator that creates fear-causing illusions.
That can definitely be done :)
Bumped due to time edit. now on Saturdays from 10PM GMT onwards
Would love but cant do time. If it changes; I might be able to join
I'm a bit late in seeing this but still super interested.
I would be very interested in getting in on this. Been hoping to play Emerald City for quite a while now. I'll have to brush up on the rules.
Bump for an update: At this point in time, I've got 5 players interested in the group. it's enough to get started, but there are 3 spaces still open! Those who have shown interest and willingness to join the game, I have sent a PM with a link to the campaign. Should all go to plan, I'll be doing the character creation this saturday with folks who have attended, and allow peeps to get to know the group they'll be playing with. Thanks again for the interest, can't wait to see where this goes!
Would you except players new to the system? I've been interested in MM for a while but i learn better through example than just straight reading. If so i'd love to join :). Drop me a PM if your fine with this (I don't always get the time to check back in threats but can quickly check/reply to pms)
A little late to this, but I would like to join if spots are still available
I would love to get in on this if I could. I am familiar with M&M and could make a charactr for approval, since it is too late for the character generation session
interested, but the time isn't to my liking.
I've been wanting to get into a M&M game, and the time works for me. I would be up for joining if you could use another player.
Hey folks. I really should have updated this, but I have got the players I need for the game right now. I thank you for your interest, but at the moment we are full. Liam, Roland, John and jarrod, you were a tad late to the party, but that doesn't expressly mean that i can't get you guys in a game. Since the time changed to Saturday, this left my Fridays free, and I do want to do this campaign as part of a podcast, if you were ok with that. If not, I can run it and not record it, and then find a third group. Either way, i'd like to run a couple of sessions with the first group just to get re-acquainted with running the system and familiarise myself more with the campaign. I'll send you guys PMs to discuss this in a sec, but I just wanted to make sure everything was cleared up.
Alas, Fridays are no good for me, as that's the night I play with my friends in the so-called real world. But thanks for the reply and if you ever have a game on just about any other night, let me know. Thank you again.

I would be interested if you decide to start another game. Always wanted to try Mutants and Masterminds but could never find a group around here to play. Just keep me in mind if you find some more time. Different Ronald S. by the way
Wow. Weird Coincidence
Once again I am in the market for an MnM3e game.
