
“Do what you want cause a pirate is free – you are a pirate!” Summary: This is a character-centric Pathfinder game using the Skull & Shackles adventure path as a foundation for the campaign. About me: My name is Roman, I have 7 years of TTRPG experience, mostly as a GM, often running two or more campaigns a week. I've played and GM'd Pathfinder, D&D 5e, Rogue Trader, Shadowrun, Eclipse Phase, Numenera and many other games - both online and offline. I prefer semi-sandbox campaigns that focus on roleplaying, acting, and character development, so you can expect more freedom than what a usual adventure path provides. I won't make any drastic changes to the AP, but I will tailor it a bit to player preference. My job is to immerse you into the setting, hopefully make you care about the characters and the world around them - and to make it all fun for everyone involved. I'm also proficient with roll20 and can use all tools it provides. Scheduling: We'll be playing weekly on Saturdays starting at 9 AM EST/1 PM GMT for 3.5-4.5 hours. If two or more players are unable to attend (and notified about it beforehand), the game will be postponed. Adventure path: Skull & Shackles Pathfinder Adventure Path is a pirate-themed campaign-long adventure. This campaign will take a group of adventurers on a daring journey of swashbuckling adventure, as they’ll rise from lowly crewmembers to pirate lords – because, as the name implies, this story is all about pirates. Yarr! The first adventure will be mostly run as-is, second and third will be tailored to character's backgrounds and player desires, the rest of the campaign is unlikely to correlate to the AP too much. I’m using Skull & Shackles as a base because it provides a great intro to a pirate’s life – but for me personally the later adventures are a bland and restricting story-wise. Campaign: The campaign will be semi-linear. The first adventure will be run mostly as-is, but your characters and their motivation will shape the future of this campaign. Anything can happen in the Shackles! Character creation: First level, 20 point buy, all Paizo content is allowed, as long as the concept fits the campaign (an android Wizard/Technomancer, for example, would not fit well into a pirate-themed campaign), traits and drawbacks are allowed as well. The only banned class is the default Summoner. Additional third party content will be considered on a case by case basis. Power-gaming is allowed within reason. Don't worry if you are not familiar with Pathfinder, I'll help you with character creation. Pay to play: Payments will be made per session a day before game time. Character creation will be free.
