Greetings. I'm looking to learn the system Savage Worlds, and looking for anyone willing to give a crash course via a brief learning session or even a one-shot. I have a lot of trouble picking up a new system purely by book, and learn best by experiencing it or learning it off someone who's experienced. I'm doing this in hopes to potentially GM my own game in the future, seeing this system might be a good fit for what I have in mind. I'm not looking for anything super extensive, just enough to set me on my way. Relevant Info: I heavily prefer text-based; It's possible for me to do voice, but it's not something I enjoy (especially for roleplay). I'm available basically any day of the week, from morning to night EST. I eventually intend to play a narrative and character focused game, likely in a [medieval] fantasy world. Ultimately looking for a generic system, easy to get into and start up (not very rules heavy or number-crunching), accommodating for narrative focus, but offering enough rules to keep a balance with an unfamiliar audience. (Savage Worlds seems to do this, as far as I know) I've looked into and played a bit of FATE (Accelerated and Core); I love the focus and the modular rules, but a little too simple for my tastes. I've also looked into GURPS, but it is far too crunchy and a lot of focus on precise simulation. I'm of course familiar with D&D, the go-to for many, but I find it is incredibly limiting, a little too numbers crunchy, and unaccommodating for new rules or truly unique characters/settings. My discord is Ekizius#0912 if you prefer to contact me there.
