Call of Cthulhu: the 1930's (Pathfinder)

The campaign seems to be showing up on the regular LFG search, so I have removed the automatic join link from this post. Noobs welcome, playing Pathfinder, meeting weekly. Campaign information: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4Cj5yZXxn0&list=UU38q3rZ55ZI3A_aUE7z4KNA&index=7 A mash-up of everything fun about the 1930's, blended into the workings of a grand Call of Cthulhu campaign. Expect to see classic Cthulhu adventures, Nazis, Castle Wolfenstein, crazy mythos creatures, ancient cities, lost technology, Indiana Jones, the Thule Society, mind flayers, the early stages of Rapture (Bioshock), the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD, Hellboy), and other surprises. RULES: Utilizing Pathfinder rules with little tweaks to suit play in the 1930's time period. 25-point buy, no 3.x or 3rd party material. Starting level 2, 1000gp in items, maximum HP rolls. All the rules and information you need to make a character is here: https://sites.google.com/site/pathfinderogc/ Use Myth-Weavers to input your character sheet: http://www.myth-weavers.com/forumhome.php Using this rule for guns (slightly edited), page 135 of Ultimate Combat: "Guns Everywhere: Guns are commonplace. Early firearms are seen as antiques, and advanced firearms are widespread. [One-handed firearms are simple weapons, two-handed firearms are martial weapons.] Early firearms, advanced guns, and their ammunition are bought or crafted for 10% of the cost listed in this chapter. The gunslinger loses the gunsmith class feature and instead gains the gun training class feature at 1st level." Unique mechanic: Sanity and Mythos skill. Each character has a Sanity score equal to its Wisdom plus its level. Every time you level up, you gain 1 Sanity. Being exposed to certain Mythos objects or interacting with them will cause you to lose Sanity, but gain ranks in Mythos skill. Sometimes Sanity checks will be called for in game, where you will have to roll equal to or under your Sanity score to pass. Failure results in short-term impairment, like fear or blindness. Mythos skill can be used for a variety of things in regard to the Mythos, such as Knowledge (Mythos), Linguistics, Spellcraft, or Use Magic Device. Each character must have a phobia. This phobia can be overcome and replaced by a different phobia at the players option, and if the situation arises. On evil PCs: You can be evil if you want. Or potentially go insane, and turn evil. Just expect it to culminate in a kill-or-be-killed stand-off with the rest of the party. You won't be able to join the enemy team. On non-human races: You can play them, but they will be alien to human society. Such creatures do not normally exist in the modern world, unless they have some way to consistently blend in (there are specific feats for this). These beings will be called upon for aid by mortals with the know-how to contact them. Alien to human society means: not only are you viewed as an alien, but you are unfamiliar with the workings of modern humanity (technology) and their customs. Half-humans can opt to be members of normal human society, and know nothing of their non-human heritage. They may perhaps be more burly in the case of a half-orc, or more lithe in the case of a half-elf. An example of half-humans in the Call of Cthulhu would be the inhabitants of Innsmouth. The Leadership feat is not allowed.
Sounds like an awesome mix of the amazing lore of CoC and the great game stats of pathfinder. I don't see the next date anywhere (says next game was 5 days ago)
I've been wanting to do something similar with Savage Worlds using the Realms of Cthulhu and Thrilling Tales supplements. Indiana Jones meets Cthulhu is basically what I am going for.
If you want to play, please be sure to post your character sheet and schedule on the appropriate campaign page threads.
Whats your thoughts on the indiana jones rpgs?
Um what are the restrictions on base classes? I've been wanting to get into a CoC game and this seems like really fun alternative to it. I'd like to play a retired boxer, so maybe a monk or fighter?
What day and time would this game be meeting? I am very interested in playing in a setting like the one you described.
