Is Roll20 a kid friendly site? Can you find family appropriate gaming groups here?

We are a small family in a small town that plays D&D together. We are in 5e right now and have a homebrew system as well that we play.  Every once in a while we dream of all playing a game or 12 and not having to DM the game. So we are looking for potential here. On a side note, being younger as an early teenager, our oldest son is seeking some peer groups. Are those a thing on Roll20? I certainly understand the nature of age group gaming and under18 has a special nature all its own in an online world. Looking forward to some responses.

Any site which has public forums and other people isn't really "family friendly" as they cant really control what sort of people your family bumps into, your best luck would be personally looking for family friendly dnd groups and directly joining them.

Yes, it is possible to do something with under-18-aged children. There are a couple of groups planning to do Hoard of the Dragon Queen, which a pretty basic but long adventure. We could certainly get one of them to be 18under. How many are in the group total? If the group is 4-6, it is possible that I might run on Wednesday Nights. I am in Arizona time zone, so I don't know your time zone setup. If you don't want to wait, you could certainly scan the LFGs for somebody willing to DM for free.(If you don't find a free DM, keep looking, they exist, just hard to find.) You could PM me for more discussion. :)

Every game here on Roll20 is individual.&nbsp; While I'd say most games are generally 18+, I have seen a number of family friendly and young teen specific games advertised in this forum over the time I've been here.&nbsp; They may not be the most common, but with a little persistence you'll find some.&nbsp; Also, check descriptions in game finder games.&nbsp; Some there are more family friendly than others.&nbsp; Feel free to message GMs and ask how they plan to run the campaign if you want to be sure. When you do join a game, make sure to let the other players know they have younger player in the midst.&nbsp; Most folks will adjust their behavior accordingly.&nbsp; Just expect a slip up or two every now and then.&nbsp; When you don't see your fellow players it can be easy to forget one is still a baby.&nbsp; :-)
