Token visibility issue with Dynamic Lighting

So, I've been playing around with Dynamic Lighting and Advanced Fog of War, and really liking what I'm seeing. I do have one issue. With Dynamic lighting, if a token isn't emitting light, and it isn't in range of another light source, no one can see it, not even a player that controls it. I've gotten around that by having every token controlled by a player emit light( with the "All players see light" box NOT checked, so only controlling players can see it ) that has minimum range. However, I'm still running into an issue when a token has a "real" light source that is directed. One of the characters in my game is carrying a lantern, which sends a beam( more or less ) of light out 18 meters. So, I've set the light radius to 18 meters, and the angle to 90 degrees. That works in terms of what gets revealed, except that most of the token is not in the lighted area, so it is not visible. I've tried to insert an image of what's displayed in this post, and all that happens is I get a spinning circle for as long as I'm willing to wait( several minutes ). So, here's a link to the image on my Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Tc_kqG7miDOnPPs4YDvQleQexmDVjwfZ/view?usp=sharing As you can see, all that is visible is the arm of the token. What I'd really like to be able to do is somehow set it so that, regardless of lighting, a player can see all the tokens they control.
I was hoping to get a suggestion on this before my next session, which is next Thursday. As it sits now, I'm probably going to just make the light source 360 degrees.

The directional lighting problem is a known issue. As for tokens disappearing altogether, that's new to me. A player should always be able to see their own token, regardless of the lighting conditions. In fact, one of the recent complaints is that the token always emits light in its own square, regardless of light settings, so long as it has sight. Until the directional light bug is squashed, you'll have to make do, unfortunately. For posting image to the forums, here's a workaround I use: In the effort to reduce frustration with the image uploading process, I do have a workaround with a so far 100% success rate. The bug seems to be related to uploading from your local hard drive. Using an image URL has yet to fail me. I have a dump folder on Imgur. If I need to upload an image to the forum, I drop it in that folder, click on it to get the direct URL (it's a button you can press), and use that instead of choosing a file. Yes, it's a tedious addition of several steps, but it does save time in the long run because it beats multiple click-waiting-failing cycles. I also have an extension for Chrome (and a different one for Firefox ) that will either send any online image to Imgur and fill your clipboard with the URL with a single right click, or allow you to do the same with a screen capture.

Thanks for the reply Keith. At least now I know I wasn't missing something! Trying out the image posting, here's what the tokens look like when I've joined the game as GM: https://imgur.com/sKGUE39 Here's what it looks like when I've joined the game as a player https://imgur.com/EcC5nqC (looks like I'm doing something wrong with the image posting. In any case, you can click on those links and see what I'm talking about) As you can see( I hope ) Caradoc has all but disappeared in the player view. The other player tokens are emitting light.

You should post this in the thread dedicated to feedback on the issue . It's not obvious it should go there, but this is one of the thing that got broken during that upgrade. It would have better visibility to the devs, there. As for the image posting, you're almost there. Once you have the link, press the insert image button. Instead of uploading, paste the URL in the Image URL field. That will put the picture in-line.

Not to hijack, but I was just about to post a question asking about this. I noticed that any token with "Has Sight" enabled clears the advanced fog of war for its current space--even if there is no light available for that token to see. So this is a thing and not just user error on my part?

Can't answer to that. I don't use AFoW, either before or after the latest upgrade.
I also have the issue where my players can't see their token in the map. This is when the dynamic lighting has been applied. It appears as an invisible token, and it appears once its moved from one spot to another. What to do?
