During this difficult and dangerous month the PCs must accomplish with only themselves and what resources they can cobble together what hasn’t been accomplished by centuries of bugbear, ogre and giant raids. They must break the Watch Wall. You are in the final month of autumn this point. It will be quite a victory if the wall can be broken before the start of winter. 
Things to note: You have discovered the Smithy shop, the alchemist shop, and scroll shop.  You learned the Alchemist is very strange, and the scroll maker was in some sort of scandal in Matharyn,   The lord dalliance's inn is the primary place of drinking and food each night.   You have secured all the rooms for the cost of 2gp a night per room.  Rumors Carmilla Discovered so far: I hear Captain Varning is leading another patrol out tomorrow. I wonder how long they’ll be gone this time? The last time they were gone for five days! If you ask me, these patrols are a waste of time. They’re just an excuse for Varning to get out of the tower and gallivant around the country side instead of doing his fair share of guard duty. Did you hear about prisoners escaping from Branderscar? Were they ever caught?
