The sun has long since expired. The surface world is now a frozen wasteland where unknown horrors lurk and those that can withstand the endless tundras rule supreme as creatures of the night. Few places remain to suit the needs of the fragile peoples who once ruled over a century before, all of which are far below the desolate wastes of the surface. The city of Vuldeim is one of the few remaining vestiges of mortals, standing against what is certainly a bleak and doomed future. Recent events dictate that even it may fall, like so many others before it. You are one of many who venture outside of the city limits, braving the darkness of the Underworld. Through your expertise in such a dangerous environment, you manage to make a living and even bring a little more hope to the dwindling population of Vuldeim. This campaign is specifically designed to be a continuity style with a gratuitous amount of side quests, but the majority of it was created to have an overlying story arc to it. The way it was built is to allow for large scale exploration (Almost every area has a map associated with it), but every place is also fleshed out with monsters, npcs, and challenges that may not fit your party's level. If you enjoy lore, building your character with the story, and digging deeper into a vexing mystery, this might just be the game for you. It includes over 200 artscreens and handouts, a large array of monsters and npcs (upwards of 300 pregenerated creatures and people), and unique homebrew content. Additional Professions Deep Runner - Essentially a courier, you carry goods, messages, and oddities from one outpost to another. Due to bandits, monsters, and pitfalls, few survive the learning curve. The items being ferried usually determine payment. Prospector - You have a trained eye for whats valuable. Whether it be a lucrative mineral vein or a rare find like fresh water, you try to capitalize from it. Recognized as the only real "cutthroat business", it can be literal from the amount of wealth to be gained. Wayfarer - A sentinel of the Underworld, you ensure the safety of Vuldeim's citizens. With a variety of threats too large to number, normal tasks consist of defending "caravans", warning others of dangers, and even cleansing lairs of encroaching creatures. The pay is nominal, but you give hope to your fellow Vuldeians. Custom Skill Keyhole - Game - Based on strategy and cards, this boardgame is a popular past time of Vuldeim's people. Additional Race Musteval (Anthropomorphic Rats) - Entrenched in the roots of society, Mustevals are numerous in the civilizations of the world where they fill a variety of roles. Known more for their more infamous individuals, they're viewed by most races as trouble. Reputation aside, these creatures have tight nit societies embedded with tradition and familial ties to adhere to at any cost. Games will only begin after a full group of 6 players has been established. Game schedules will be determined based on group availability.
