compcheck marco within a compcheck macro HELP!

I've got the following: &{template:DnD35StdRoll} {{compcheck= Intricacy [[1d100>30]]}} {{succeedcheck= success!}} {{failcheck= failed.}} That computes to this: Intricacy 0 faild. Intricacy 1 success! That I want to use within this: Merric casts Stone Shape! School: Transmutation [Earth] Level: Clr 3, Drd 3, Earth 3, Sor/Wiz 4 Cmpnts: V, S, M/DF Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Target: Stone or stone object touched, up to 15 cu. ft. Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: None Spell Resist.: No Caster level check: 9 vs spell resist. Conc: <span class="userscript-inlinerollresult showtip tipsy-n-right" title=" Rolling {1d20+7}>1 = {( 16 )+7}" style="background-color: transparent ; border: none ; padding: 0px 3px ; font-weight: bold ; cursor: help ; font-size: 1.1em">1 Concentration check successful! Sculpts stone into any shape. You can form an existing piece of stone into any shape that suits your purpose. While it's possible to make crude coffers, doors, and so forth with stone shape, fine detail isn't possible. There is a 30% chance that any shape including moving parts simply doesn't work. Arcane Material Component: Soft clay, which must be worked into roughly the desired shape of the stone object and then touched to the stone while the verbal component is uttered. Code for the above as follows: &{template:DnD35StdRoll} {{spellflag=true}} {{name=@{character_name}}} {{subtags=casts [Stone Shape!]( http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/stoneShape.htm)} } {{School:= Transmutation [Earth]}} {{Level:= Clr 3, Drd 3, Earth 3, Sor/Wiz 4}} {{Cmpnts:= V, S, M/DF}} {{Casting Time:= 1 standard action}} {{Range:= Touch}} {{Target:= Stone or stone object touched, up to [[10+1*@{casterlevel}]] cu. ft.}} {{Duration:= Instantaneous}} {{Saving Throw:= None}} {{Spell Resist.:= No}} {{Caster level check:= [[1d20+@{casterlevel2}+@{spellpen}]] vs spell resist.}} {{compcheck= Conc: [[{1d20+[[@{concentration}]]}>?{Concentration DC=15+Spell Level or 10+Damage Received|16}]]}} {{succeedcheck=Concentration check successful! Sculpts stone into any shape.}} {{failcheck=Concentration check failed!}} {{notes= You can form an existing piece of stone into any shape that suits your purpose. Arcane Material Component: Soft clay, which must be worked into roughly the desired shape of the stone object and then touched to the stone while the verbal component is uttered.}} So I want it to run as follows: &{template:DnD35StdRoll} {{spellflag=true}} {{name=@{character_name}}} {{subtags=casts [Stone Shape!]( http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/stoneShape.htm)} } {{School:= Transmutation [Earth]}} {{Level:= Clr 3, Drd 3, Earth 3, Sor/Wiz 4}} {{Cmpnts:= V, S, M/DF}} {{Casting Time:= 1 standard action}} {{Range:= Touch}} {{Target:= Stone or stone object touched, up to [[10+1*@{casterlevel}]] cu. ft.}} {{Duration:= Instantaneous}} {{Saving Throw:= None}} {{Spell Resist.:= No}} {{Caster level check:= [[1d20+@{casterlevel2}+@{spellpen}]] vs spell resist.}} {{compcheck= Conc: [[{1d20+[[@{concentration}]]}>?{Concentration DC=15+Spell Level or 10+Damage Received|16}]]}} {{succeedcheck=Concentration check successful! Sculpts stone into any shape. {{compcheck= Intricacy [[1d100>30]]}} {{succeedcheck= success!}} {{failcheck= failed.}} }} {{failcheck=Concentration check failed!}} {{notes= You can form an existing piece of stone into any shape that suits your purpose. While it's possible to make crude coffers, doors, and so forth with stone shape, fine detail isn't possible. There is a 30% chance that any shape including moving parts simply doesn't work. Arcane Material Component: Soft clay, which must be worked into roughly the desired shape of the stone object and then touched to the stone while the verbal component is uttered.}} But of course its not that easy, so how do I embed that macro line within another macro line so that I only receive the "success! / fail." on the "Caster level ch eck := succeedcheck=" and not the "failcheck=" OR without making it another line within and all on its own within the main macro? Also if the "1" or "0" on the "Intricacy check" could be hidden... "That would be Greeeaat"

I suspect the problem in getting a response here is not many players of 3.5 on the forums. I am completely unfamiliar with the roll template used by that sheet or I'd take a crack at it.
Do you know any other forums that may have a more hefty 3.5 population?

The roll template only has one compcheck/successcheck/failcheck line built into it. basically, it will look at the first (I think that's the roll that roll20 looks at) roll value in the compcheck and if the total roll is a 1, displays the succeed check; if it is a zero, it displays the failcheck. The key/value allprops section below the compcheck will take any key/value pair, but doesn't apply any intelligence/filtering. You might be able to fake it by nesting a 2nd template inside your successcheck, but you would probably have to do some html replacing and I really don't know what it would do to the rest of that macro or if you can even nest them that way. You could just split the macro at that line, but then the intricacy check would always show up. That would look something like: &{template:DnD35StdRoll} {{spellflag=true}} {{name=@{character_name}}} {{subtags=casts [Stone Shape!]( http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/stoneShape.htm)} } {{School:= Transmutation [Earth]}} {{Level:= Clr 3, Drd 3, Earth 3, Sor/Wiz 4}} {{Cmpnts:= V, S, M/DF}} {{Casting Time:= 1 standard action}} {{Range:= Touch}} {{Target:= Stone or stone object touched, up to [[10+1*@{casterlevel}]] cu. ft.}} {{Duration:= Instantaneous}} {{Saving Throw:= None}} {{Spell Resist.:= No}} {{Caster level check:= [[1d20+@{casterlevel2}+@{spellpen}]] vs spell resist.}} {{compcheck= Conc: [[{1d20+[[@{concentration}]]}>?{Concentration DC=15+Spell Level or 10+Damage Received|16}]]}} {{succeedcheck=Concentration check successful! Sculpts stone into any shape. }} {{failcheck=Concentration check failed!}} &{template:DnD35StdRoll} {{compcheck= Intricacy [[1d100>30]]}} {{succeedcheck= success!}} {{failcheck= failed.}} {{notes= You can form an existing piece of stone into any shape that suits your purpose. While it's possible to make crude coffers, doors, and so forth with stone shape, fine detail isn't possible. There is a 30% chance that any shape including moving parts simply doesn't work. Arcane Material Component: Soft clay, which must be worked into roughly the desired shape of the stone object and then touched to the stone while the verbal component is uttered.}} You could use a 2nd click to do the intricacy check by having your successcheck call an https://wiki.roll20.net/Macros#Ability_Command_Buttons if you set up your separate intricacy check as an ability on the character, called say "stoneshapeintricacy" . The main macro would then look something like &{template:DnD35StdRoll} {{spellflag=true}} {{name=@{character_name}}} {{subtags=casts [Stone Shape!]( http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/stoneShape.htm)} } {{School:= Transmutation [Earth]}} {{Level:= Clr 3, Drd 3, Earth 3, Sor/Wiz 4}} {{Cmpnts:= V, S, M/DF}} {{Casting Time:= 1 standard action}} {{Range:= Touch}} {{Target:= Stone or stone object touched, up to [[10+1*@{casterlevel}]] cu. ft.}} {{Duration:= Instantaneous}} {{Saving Throw:= None}} {{Spell Resist.:= No}} {{Caster level check:= [[1d20+@{casterlevel2}+@{spellpen}]] vs spell resist.}} {{compcheck= Conc: [[{1d20+[[@{concentration}]]}>?{Concentration DC=15+Spell Level or 10+Damage Received|16}]]}} {{succeedcheck=Concentration check successful! Sculpts stone into any shape. [Intricacy check](~stoneshapeintricacy) }} {{failcheck=Concentration check failed!}} {{notes= You can form an existing piece of stone into any shape that suits your purpose. While it's possible to make crude coffers, doors, and so forth with stone shape, fine detail isn't possible. There is a 30% chance that any shape including moving parts simply doesn't work. Arcane Material Component: Soft clay, which must be worked into roughly the desired shape of the stone object and then touched to the stone while the verbal component is uttered.}} Another possibility would be just to run it the way we used to run things and make that line look more like: {{succeedcheck=Concentration check successful! Sculpts stone into any shape. Intricacy = [[1d100>30]] successes! }} which would give you a result of Concentration check successful! Sculpts stone into any shape. Intricacy = 1 successes! on a success, or Concentration check successful! Sculpts stone into any shape. Intricacy = 0 successes! for a failure. My choice would probably be to just adjust the notes and put the calculation there so it might read something like: {{notes= You can form an existing piece of stone into any shape that suits your purpose. While it's possible to make crude coffers, doors, and so forth with stone shape, fine detail isn't possible. [[ (1d100>30)*100 ]] % of the moving parts work. Arcane Material Component: Soft clay, which must be worked into roughly the desired shape of the stone object and then touched to the stone while the verbal component is uttered.}} which will say either that 0% or 100% of the moving parts work. I can't think of any other way to do something like that. The rolltemplate is not set up to hide the roll used for the compcheck in any case, however. The most complicated way to do it, which could allow for the compcheck to be hidden, would be to have the game's creator be a pro user and create a custom character sheet template by editing the html of the sheet and then run the custom sheet for that campaign.
I've chosen to go with @ Diana P 's preferred solution, which looks like so: Merric casts Stone Shape! School: Transmutation [Earth] Level: Clr 3, Drd 3, Earth 3, Sor/Wiz 4 Cmpnts: V, S, M/DF Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Target: Stone or stone object touched, up to 15 cu. ft. Conc: <span class="inlinerollresult showtip tipsy-n-right" title=" Rolling {1d20+7}>1 = {( 4 )+7}" style="box-sizing: content-box; background-color: transparent; border: none; padding: 0px 3px; font-weight: bold; cursor: help; font-size: 1.1em;">1 Concentration check successful! You can form an existing piece of stone into any shape that suits your purpose. While it's possible to make crude coffers, doors, and so forth with stone shape, fine detail isn't possible. There is a 30% chance that any shape including moving parts simply doesn't work. Arcane Material Component: Soft clay, which must be worked into roughly the desired shape of the stone object and then touched to the stone while the verbal component is uttered. for a success, and: Merric casts Stone Shape! School: Transmutation [Earth] Level: Clr 3, Drd 3, Earth 3, Sor/Wiz 4 Cmpnts: V, S, M/DF Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Target: Stone or stone object touched, up to 15 cu. ft. Arcane Material Component: Soft clay, which must be worked into roughly the desired shape of the stone object and then touched to the stone while the verbal component is uttered.}} Otherwise the only option I had to have it preform as originally intended was as a split template run off the same roll button, looking like this: Merric casts Stone Shape! School: Transmutation [Earth] Level: Clr 3, Drd 3, Earth 3, Sor/Wiz 4 Cmpnts: V, S, M/DF Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Target: Stone or stone object touched, up to 15 cu. ft. Sculpts stone into any shape. Intricacy <span class="inlinerollresult showtip tipsy-n-right" title=" Rolling 1d100>30 = ( 93 )" style="box-sizing: content-box; background-color: transparent; border: none; padding: 0px 3px; font-weight: bold; cursor: help; font-size: 1.1em;">1 success! Not smooth. And nesting will only choose the latter compcheck (odd). Thank you for all our assistance! I'm satisfied with how it works now with the [[ (1d100>30)*100]] % .
