There are a few reasons that I'm asking players to this campaign contribute $10 USD per session (not counting "session zero," the first session where we make characters). I am extremely consistent in making games happen every week, and I show up not only with fun ideas that I'm proud to share with my players, but also with carefully crafted or selected visual aids to help with immersion. Since I first discovered this game at 10 years old, I have been passionate about it. I have 18 years' experience running D&D games, and I have seen through many campaigns from start to finish, well exceeding 10,000 hours of play. This ensures a level of thoughtfulness and quality in my games you won't find in many other places. My style of campaign preparation focuses not on my creative ego, but on what gets my players excited. If you want to play something off-the-wall like a multiclass sorcerer-bard that comes from a rare race of mushroom-people, I would be more than willing to modify my world to give your character a meaningful place in it. I want my players to enjoy themselves playing the character they want to play! I run three games every week(!) besides this, so the time each week I spend prepping games is more than considerable, and by trade I am a freelance writer, so my time is already limited due to client work. I have a pro account with the 5th edition Players' Handbook included, so if you're making a character with elements from the core rules, the process will be greatly streamlined and a lot more enjoyable since you don't have to be flipping around a book or scouring a .pdf. Below I've enclosed a few screenshots from recent games I've played on Roll20. Further down you will see recommendations from some current players in my campaigns.
