We play using either Discord or Bluejeans. CAM and MIC is a must. My game is open to ANYONE and EVERYONE. Any kind of racism/bigotry is frowned upon. If it happens consecutively it will also lead to a ban from the group. My games are dark. I do NOT censor things that happen. I try to keep it on the down low, though there are times when things such as rape, gruesome murdering of innocents and horrid scenes do get described in the game. Whilst this might seem intimidating to new players, i ensure you it is not! I have had multiple beginners in my games and after just a few weeks they know the game as the back of their hand. My name is Tim, I'm a 25-year-old university student with only a few more months left before graduating as a teacher. It took me quite some time to find the love for TTRPGs and have only been playing for a couple of years. Though these few years have been filled to the brim, and over, with TTRPGs. I started as a DM and have loved it since the first minute. A few years ago now, almost as a joke, i put out an ad here on roll20 about being a paid GM. To my surprise, i found myself a group willing to pay to play. I created a module and we played through levels 1 to 10 which was a blast. I have done both modules (not the published ones, but my own) and also sandbox games. I myself prefer the sandbox games as they more often have the ability to focus on the characters and their development from nobodies into heroes/villains/whatevertheymaywish. As stated above, i charged 12.5 USD per game. If you pay monthly you will also get a discount. Note that if you do pay monthly, you pay for 4 sessions that you attend. Missing a session will never be paid for as we're all humans with lives. I think 12.5 USD is affordable, and it's a price i can see myself paying to join a quality DnD game. Maybe it has to do something with my other hobby having been golf, and that golf is quite an expensive hobby in comparison. But what do you really get for paying some random guy 12.5 USD per session? * You will get an experienced DM. *Someone who has created an immersive world where you can do as you please, as long as you're ready for the consequences. *The world is fleshed out and is always evolving through the players actions and their desires to explore the unknown. *I will always be enthusiastic about DMing. Even though i may not be thrilled when you decide to murder the butler because you think he's a warlock, you will always have that option. *I spend a lot of time working on my world and the campaigns my players are currently enjoying. *Lore, plot twists, sidequests and all NPCs with their own drives and goals already fleshed out. You will also get the ability to enjoy a biological world. A world that will be affected by your interactions with it and will revolve around not only the PC's, but because of other hidden mechanics. *As you step into my world, you will enjoy a co-operative sandbox world. There will be as many choices for you as you can think of, and enough structure to cope with your desire to know what chocolate brew is the most expensive. *I always bring battlemaps for combat, and dynamic lighting to follow with them to make sure that the immersion is at its highest. *Something that i myself love, is old school dungeon drawling with puzzles, riddles and possibly even traps! In my games, the emphasis is on RP. Therefore you may often circumvent dicerolls through great explanations. You may be able to persuade someone without having to roll. You may be able to bring down a door by telling me how you remove the hinges. In my games you are not allowed to tell me "I want to persuade this person" and then proceed to roll me a persuasion. You aren't allowed to tell me you want to break down this door and then roll me an athletics. You will always have to explain how you're doing something and narrate it/talk as your character to be able to do something. About the game; I am currently running a homebrew version of 5e where i have made large changes to basically all areas of the game. Economic system, Magic system, Combat system, adding things that i thought to be missing. All the changes that are done, is to create more depth to the game. I am aware that 5e was trying to avoid just that, but i and my current players all feel that that is what is missing. The changes are meant to add realism and depth. These changes still need work, but here is the overhaul https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tGza1RQbrNd8u0qpBqGUW2rfNZ9Nb3kdSUuTa8a_5jY/edit If you do have any questions about my decision with these changes then you may PM me or simply comment. But remember this is not a "balance" thread but a LFP listing. If a lot of new players wish to join and a new game is created, then we will not be running with any modifications, but rather RAW with a few exceptions. There is also a possibility that after some time, the changes feel more exhausting than anything, they will then not be played with. Though so far the players that are playing with the changes do enjoy it greatly. World information The worlds name is Gael, named after the first continent that was entered upon when the mages created the passing. For 3600 years the world has fought and clawed to become what it currently is. What was before, few know. As the people passed from the old world, a world filled with rage, madness and endless war, they came upon the steppes of Gael. It has since evolved and expanded creating many different factions and kingdoms. There have been many eras, all with their own reasons for starting and ending. The last era was known as "The Darkness". There was only one way to close the rifts that the Orascilles were using to gain entry to Gael. Four thousand mages had to gather and in unison, they cast a spell. The spell almost severed the ties to the flux and greatly limiting the magic. Though the world eaters were repelled and Gael survived, some say it cost too dearly. The world is now recovering. Adapting to the different state now that magic is less, and some of the gods are dead. We have entered the 6th age, the age of rejuvenation. Gael is split into 5 known continents, the map below shows the main continent "Gael". Others named Driss (Dracones Insulaes), Izual (The Silver Coast), Islands of Shiboa and Ageleya exist as well. Gael is the biggest and is the size equivalent of Eurasia here on earth. Games and Times Running Games: 1. Thursdays, 8 pm CEST/2 pm EDT - Running for 3-4 hours. 2. Saturdays, 10 am CEST / 4 am EDT - Running for 3-4 Hours Times that I can set up new games: Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday starting 6/7/8 pm CEST, Noon/1/2 pm EDT - Running 3-4 hours Saturdays, 3/4 pm CEST / 9/10 am EDT 1. The party has just restarted after having a bit of a bad luck and ending up dead. They are currently level 3 and have set out to the Crown Jewel to attend Savrengavh ro Gianavuk. SRG is a massive competition held only when the last winner dies. Challenges depending on the roster that signs up for SRG is handed out to the parties. The parties then have 1 month to complete each of these challenges and if they have succeeded then they proceed to the next level. The party has been asked by a friend to help him with some investigation into the natives who lived before the passing. It is believed that somewhere in Dragonspine that there is a temple that may have a way to restore some of the worlds lost magic. Though unfortunately the journal that was being translated has been stolen. The party therefore have to juggle both the SRG, but also finding the stolen journal. +Beginner Friendly +New Characters +New Rules 2. The party has been playing for 13 months. They started at level 1 and have now reached level 10, soon 11. They are currently stuck on a continent of which they cannot leave. They have been chasing after one of the parties fathers and have just found him. Though he had been trapped by a Liche and they are currently enrolled in combat with said Liche. The party ended up on this strange continent when they followed a rogue guild leader through a portal. They have since coming to this continent explored a volcano, fought a Balrog (and lost), stopped the threat of Panthathians and lastly found Utopia. The place where one of the characters father has been held. Though saving the father, also means sealing their fate on having to stay on this continent. +Experienced players +Strong group Dynamic +RAW If you do not wish to join an existing group, you may write in your application which of the times suits you best. I do require there to be at least 4 players before starting, or otherwise, be compensated for the open slots. As for campaigns? The world is built. There is everything in there that one needs to start a campaign. If you're an already existing group and you wish to play a certain atmospheric adventure then you only need to tell me! If you do wish to join an existing group you can simply write either 1,2 or 1 and 2 somewhere in your application. DISCLAIMER. We play using either Discord or Bluejeans. CAM and MIC is a must.
