[LFP] [VTM] [EST] [18+]

Hey everyone! I'm looking for players for a V5 LA by Night campaign! Who I am I am an OWOD vet that rediscovered my love for the game with this new edition. I am a mature gamer (in age and attitude) that take the game seriously. Date is mallable but looks like we're looking at Sundays or Wednesday evenings EST, but enjoy playing more often if time and schedules permit. (Life happens). I like to RP, sometimes have abrasive themes/npcs. Lots of mature subject matter.....if you prefer True Blood to Game of Thrones, this game probably isn't for you. And yes, this is one of those "you should probably take notes" games. Who I'm looking for I'm looking for like-minded pc's. Mature and familiar with the game. Sorry newbies but you'll really miss out on a lot if you don't already know the clans and some of the meta and all that good stuff. So yes, mature adults with no drama or baggage. I play hard fast and loose with the rules. Whatever serves the story comes first. Looking for people who know when its time to joke, and when its time to be serious. I play via Discord and Roll20. I'd also like to see some sort of commitment from said players. These games are going for the long haul and I like people who want to see the full scope of the story, not just snippets, as that hurts the story as well. I'm going to be taking applications and doing interviews based on response.  In the application: Tell me a bit about yourself. Gaming, RP and White Wolf experience. And a bit about you. What you prefer in gaming style/storytelling style. Vague character ideas. Thats about it for now. I'll look over applicants as they come in and email those who ! wish to interview. Looking at the core Camarilla clans circa mid 90s (Brujah, Gangrel, Malkavian((no fish malks!!)), Nosferatu, Toreador, Tremere, Ventrue) I'm still in the writing process but its slowly reaching the time to add players. I have 2 already and am looking for 2-3 more TOPS. This will be a political game, extremely RP oriented with some mystery and such. I plan to start it in the mid '90s and moving the game through the passage of time to the current day, metaplot included. So, yes LA is currently a Camarilla city. At least, downtown is...  Ultimately I'm looking for strong roleplayers. You guys will be driving the stories. Your ambitions, your interactions, how you deal with the problems and opportunities placed before you, carrying the plot up to the V5 meta stuff. Assuming those characters are still there! I will be taking some liberties with not only the rules but with the metaplot and the timeline but those are semantics. Suffice to say that you'll be fairly new to the embrace. Maybe we'll play through it. I haven't decided yet.  Thats about it for now. I'm still going through V5 and wrapping my head around all the new rules. I have a really good idea about the story, but as I said I'm new to V5 and have a ton of deprogramming to do.  Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hey, my name is Kiel (pronounced Kyle), or you can call me KT. I have been gaming for going on 20 years and I consider myself a very mature and experienced role player. I like to really dig into a role and find out my character motivations, and have a goal and a reason to get up every night. I have had limited experience with V5 (a few sessions), but I have had a lot of experience with revised and I know the lore, relatively well.   A bit about me; I'm a 34 year old guy with 4 kids, I work for my local municipality, and Saturday would be the best day as far availability goes.  Oh and I live in the Eastern Time Zone. As far as what kind of Story Telling I prefer; I enjoy a world that reacts to our characters.  If we screw up, we should be punished, by the Cam or the 2nd Inquisition (depending on the type of infraction and/or where we are in the timeline).  I like for my characters to have a goal, something that they want to accomplish, I don't have to complete the goal, and it could change throughout the chronicle, but I have to have some character motivation as I said before. I think I'm pretty good at being a self-starter, as in, I don't need a ST to lead me around, I can usually move the story along.   For character ideas, I'm pretty open to playing anything, but if I have to go with something right now, I think I would go with a Tremere, it would be fun to get to see the fall-out from the Chantey falling from inside the clan.  And if we're going to be using the blood alchemy from V5, my character would be very interested in that aspect of the blood. My discord user name is TheKT#7867 if you want to use that for communication.  But I think that just about covers it, I hope to hear back from you as this really appeals to me, and whether I get in the game or not, I hope it's a great chronicle. Have a great day.

Ello, my names Remagen, or just Alec. I've been going on eight odd years of consistant roleplaying through tabletop to heavy forum based role-play. I'd consider myself quite mature, been through a lot of the ringers and experienced all forms of groups, good and bad. I like to be as serious as possible about things and make as good a character as I can, male or female and enjoy just setting out a thorough, enjoyable story as possible with the means I can put forth.  I currently have a V5 game that's gone over twenty sessions and very deep into things and i'd consider myself quite experienced, even with some homebrew stuff (mainly xp gain) thrown in for awhile. I'm not a major expert on the lore, but I know a fair bit and other stuff is easy to look up and study. I'm twenty four myself, got a pretty free schedule for the most part, i'd be available Wednesdays quite easily, or tuesday and friday. Sunday as of right now is off the books as far as time goes, and saturday I couldn't do at all as that'd interfere with my other v5 game. Time zone itself will be no issue as i'm CST. just an hour behind EST. I'd consider myself someone that loves being able to make choices that matter and that the ST allows the possibility of such and be able to be important to things in some way, with screw ups having costs, even if it's not death, everything matters, good and bad choices. I'm quite open overall to character basis, and have a few that could work rather well with things. My main being a Tremere i'd say, but I also have a Toreador if others would rather go with Tremere, like the previous poster for instance. I'd love to hear more on this overall, as it definitely sounds like something I could get into overall from what you posted alone.
I've played D&D for 15 years, but I've only just gotten into VtM fairly recently. I'm reasonably familiar with the world from the lore in the video games. If this does wind up happening on Wednesday evenings I would be very interested in playing. Especially in a game like this that's going to be more political and RP focused. That's what really got me into tabletop gaming, sitting around with people and telling a story together. I'm not as big on the games where it's all just constant fighting. I love a game where the players are encouraged to think outside the box to solve situations.  For my character I thought it would be fun to explore things as a Malkavian. Every good story needs that little spark of insanity sometimes to keep things interesting, without it just turning into an excuse to go full on murder hobo. It's a chance to play a more quirky and interesting character. Especially if we're only recently embraced, it could be a good time.
