Looking for DM: DnD 5e- 4-6 players. Friday Evenings 8PM EST

We are looking for a DM to run a hopefully weekly game, as well as a longer term game.  You are certainly welcome to bring your homebrew game to the group, or if you prefer to run a module that is also perfectly fine with us as well. We are pretty set on the game being Friday Evening, so if that is not doable please refrain from applying.  We are also looking for a more Mature DM, preferably someone over the age of 21, All of our players are over 20 years old except one of us who is turning 18. We would prefer to keep the game more adult oriented since we tend to say some bad words and drink beers :D Games will be played on roll20, but we will be using discord for the voice comms. A server invite will be provided via PM. Lastly, if you would please provide a little information about yourself and the campaign you intend to bring to the game please provide it below. Your name- Age- Time spent as a dm- Type of campaign you are looking to run (module or homebrew, if homebrew please provide a brief summary)- Do you prefer roll for stats/standard array/point buy?-  starting level- ending level?- restrictions/stipulations/tjhings you want to do/ dont want to do etc etc- anything else I may have missed, feel free to provide further input. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time.
Your name - Chad Burns Age - 31 Time spent as a DM - 15 years Type of campaign you are looking to run (module or homebrew, if homebrew please provide a brief summary)- I have Curse of Sthrad (A love letter to Dracula), Tyranny of Dragons (Dragon cult trying to bring back the Mother of evil dragons) and Mines of Phandelver (A solid introduction to 5e but at the end of the day is just Fisher Price D&D) ready to go.  I'm working on converting a favored Homebrew of mine from 3.5 to 5th. Do you prefer roll for stats/standard array/point buy?-  Stats are rolled for.  The usual 4d6, reroll 1's. Starting Level - 1st.  These modules typically award levels quickly so the pace doesn't fell like a slog.  And starting at first level allows players to build deeper characters. Level Range - Depends on the chosen Module.  Phandelver is quick (comparatively) and ends at 5.  Strahd ends around 10-12.  Tyranny ends around 11-13 DM Style -  My main pet peeve with running games is the lack of communication.  I understand things come up, and at the end of the day this is only a game.  But, substantial work goes into prepping for these from both the DM and the players.  If a session cannot be made, or needs to be moved, that's fine.  I'm very understanding and difficult to anger when it comes to these things.  Also, if you want your character to do/be something interesting and isn't laid out in the book, let me know.  The more invested in your character you become the stronger the game gets as a whole.  To that point.  I prefer organic story and combat to dice rolls and tables.  I taught myself to become a DM, not an accountant.  And at the end of the day, I'm human.  I will make mistakes, forget things and generally be fallible.  And discrepancy in the rules of characters should be brought up when appropriate.  If it affects the current situation and could change an outcome, tell me.  If it is something that I'm getting wrong about, or seem to not understand, a non time based thing, let me know when we break for food/restroom/ect... instead of bringing it up right then.  With the chosen day being Friday this gives me ample time to run as long as I can keep my eyelids up.  Although I do like to keep games from getting to the point were it falls apart from fatigue.  At the end of sessions I do enjoy having a short recap session where players can bring up things they want, things I forgot and generally ask questions about things they didn't understand fully.  This also allows me to reiterate important story elements and guide players for the next session so we can come into it with a full understanding of each other. Hopefully this answers any of your questions.  Please feel free to contact me with any concerns.  Thank you for taking the time to consider this application.
