Crafting Magical Items still takes 1 day per 1000g base price of the item (approximately 8 hours of work per day when not adventuring.  Can only apply 4 hours a day when adventuring due to travel...etc...etc)  However characters that need less sleep than normal (Through natural means or through a ring of sustenance) can apply the normal sleep period to their crafting feat.  They still need to deduct the requisite time to prepare spells, restore magic...etc.  A/E a character has a ring of sustenance that allows him/her to reset their daily spells and sleep in only 2 hours can now add the other 6 hours of nighttime to their crafting feat.  During a period of resting (sitting in a city for a week or something of that nature) the character can apply and additional 6 hours to the 8 they are already applying to it making it 14 hours a day.  While traveling/adventuring this would add 6 hours to the 4 they are able to apply to the craft giving them 10 hours a day on the project. Example: Headband of Vast Intelligence +4:     -Base cost - 16,000 gold     -Crafting time needed - 16 Days or 128 hours Under the house rule it would it would now take:     -Resting period - 9.1 days (128 hours needed, 14 hours a day applied)     -Travel/adventuring - 12.8 days (128 hours needed, 10 hours a day applied) The creation process still requires a spellcraft check to finish the item
