Summary of Past Experience: I played 2nd edition about 2 years ago with a group for a couple months but otherwise have no experience. The group was very heavy combat and very little in the way of forming any real interactions or bonds between the players. The DM was very hard/unforgiving which meant I died often due to things that just didn't come naturally to my thought process since I was learning and didn't think to do certain actions. That didn't bother me so much as I kept making new characters, but without any real chance for characters to talk and interact, the experience became kind of lacking for me. However, I want to keep trying in hopes of finding a group/DM I can mesh with. My only other experience is rolelplaying online for many years, but this was only text-based. Some did involve dice mechanics for combat. THE LOW DOWN: Timezone: EST Age: 32 (this means I can do 18+ without anyone going to jail) Times Available : I work till 4:30 EST M-F. I can do games after this time. Saturdays are a no-go as I sometimes am traveling visiting friends/family. I could possibly do Sunday evenings. Have: Discord, Headset for Voice Can Get if Necessary: Camera for Video Looking for: I can play the base character races but if there was a group that allowed more off-the-books species that would be the most appealing to me (kobold possibly?) I tend to like rping more between characters and forming bonds then being 100% death and combat. That isn't to say I don't enjoy the fighting aspect and will take part in it as best as I am able (I have seen death many a time and am AOK with harsh lesson of forgetting to check for traps.) I just don't want it to be the entirety of the campaigns with very little player interactions. I would need help with character creation and learning the website as I have just joined and am still learning.
