[LF2P][5E Homebrew Hardcore] Mature players sought to join ongoing campaign

You have never played DnD like this before. Our DM is Old School (30+ yrs experience) and is running a campaign set in the forgotten realms. Campaign has been going about 9 months.  Rule set is 5E unless DM specifies otherwise. Rations tracked, you can only carry so much weight, debilities, and more to add to the harsh realism. Game is every week Thursday night from 8 PM EST (exceptions for holidays etc). Looking for two reliable mature players who enjoy combat role-play, dungeon crawling, fighting for survival and are willing to play through a curveball or two thrown their way. If interested please submit a 4th level character concept.  No exotic races or classes. This is an old school game. Current party consists of a halfling rogue, halfling bard, and a gnome wizard. Could use someone who knows their way around a sword and someone to heal. I am happy to answer questions. Send me a message. 

I'm one of the players in the game and wanted to say that this is the most consistent, high quality game that I could've hoped for. Since I joined in November, we've been running strong with only 2-3 unplanned weeks being missed. We consistently start at 8pm EST and end at 11pm for each session, which for someone that works on Friday morning this is great to rely on not running over. The DM maximizes the use of Roll20 (maps for almost all situations, dynamic lighting, custom macros to make things run smoother) and the encounters are a great mix of combat, roleplay and puzzle-solving. The other players have all been fantastic too. We all attempt to stay in character and roleplay to the best of our ability and play off each other's actions just as much as the DM's, with more than one session that has had no combat encounters. Few us of could say we were Roll20 or D&D5e experts when we started (especially me), so don't be scared off if you're still learning. We're certainly looking for players of the more mature variety (not necessarily chronologically mature) who are willing to commit to the game on a weekly basis, roleplay, be ready on their turn, and describe what they want their character to do, not let a set of feats or rules define their character or actions. Good luck, this has got to be one of the top games out there (paid or otherwise) so don't pass up this opportunity!

Hey I've been looking for a consistent weekly game. I can play just about anything, but for your team I would run either Half orc Barb, or Dwarf Fighter. I would need to know more about the world to throw together a full concept. I am willing to right backstory and voice act my character. I am always on time if not early, respect is huge for me, I have DMd myself and have been left without all my players so I wouldn't dare do it to another. I really hope you do consider me for your campaign. I'm 21+ btw if that is important. I am very much free at thursday 7pm CST. 

This game sounds rather splendid! I'm available Thursday evenings at the time requested, and for this campaign, would be delighted to try a character I've been toying around with idea wise, a witch doctor-esque druidlock (Circle of Shephard and Celestial). I've been playing dnd for about ten years, 5e for three of them. Role play comes wicked naturally to me as does quick problem and puzzle solving, I would love to take part!

I am the DM of this campaign, from the start the players are all top notch role players, we lost three players due to that nasty thing called Real Life :), as stated we could use a good front line fighter and a cleric, small races might be given an inside shot as that is what the group consists of right now, two halflings and a gnome. Post or Send a Level 4 character concept for consideration.

Question: The campaign has been running for 9 months and the group is only level 4? Or is that just where you want a new comer to start? My concept would be a Dwarf War Cleric. Soldier background.
