I need a break down of how invoices and being charged for subscriptions work

Maybe it's explained somewhere, but I don't feel like digging atm, so I'll explain my situation and someone(s) can walk me through it. I didn't have enough for my Plus plan (5 USD a month), but the invoice showed I was charged on the 30th, yet my both my Paypal and Bank Account show no activity. I know it's Sunday, so some bank functions don't work until the following Monday, but I'm not sure if this one of them or not. So my question is, when is my account charged exactly? Is it when my invoice appears in my list? Or does it take a few days to see if enough money appears in my account before either making me free again or charging me the 5 USD? At the point I cannot afford an overcharge fee, so I need to know ASAP how this works, I already canceled my subscription even though as said it had an invoice for the 30th, hoping I won't be charged so I can avoid the fee. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: For reference I am 30 years old, and yes I should by this age understand how financial stuff like this, but for their own backwards reasons my parents always did it all for me my whole life and never bothered to teach me what all this means nad how it works.

For financial/account queries I'd recommend emailing team@roll20.net it will garner a quicker, bespoke and above all else private response :) Best of luck!
Thank you for the reply, but honestly I could careless about privacy, all I want is a quick and accurate answer. Nothing private is really being given away tbh.
