Hey there, we're a group of 6 players looking for a DM for a Saturday evening game. We had a game all lined up with another DM, with characters and backstories all planned out, but the DM felt overwhelmed and dipped a few days before the first session, so we're left DM-less. What we're looking for is essentially someone to fill that role, but we'd like someone coming in with their own ideas for the world the game would take place in. We're open to pretty much any setting, whether Homebrew or a Module, as most of us haven't played any of the official ones, and test one-shots are welcome too, if you want to check how the group works first. Speaking of the group, we're a bunch of pretty experienced players, both with Roll20 and D&D 5E, and we already have an idea of the type of characters we'd play. We're not one of those well established groups that have been playing for years though, as we only met a few weeks ago, but we felt we had a solid enough group to stay together and try to salvage this thing. So far, everyone has been punctual and communicative, so no fear of us disappearing right before a session, if that's a worry. For the game itself, I'm afraid the time slot is pretty much set in stone, as we're spread out over a few time zones, and this is the ideal time we've found for all of us. We'd also like a game that doesn't feature too many explicit mature themes, at least not at the forefront of the adventure, and a setting allowing us to use, at least, the official races from WOTC, maybe with some additional options to discuss later. As for the rules, we're not too difficult but we'd appreciate a DM who's willing to bend them and work with us to create cool moments, and isn't afraid to let the Rule of Cool take precedence when the situation calls for it. Well, that about covers it. Feel free to reply below or send me a PM for more info. The selection process should run for about a week from the time of the post, so you have until then to reply. Thanks in advance!
