Newbie DM looking to spectate

Long story short, I'm relatively new at the game, and very new as a DM, as is the entirety of my group. Lacking any sort of practical experience, I'd love to spectate the game of a more experienced DM (and even help him if they'd like), hoping to get something to work towards with my group. Also, any advice, platform-specific or otherwise, is welcome. System of choice is 3.5e, but I'll take whatever I can get my hands on.

My group plays Thursdays at 5pm MST. If you just want to watch from afar you can watch from our Twitch page http://www.twitch.tv/bumblerumble , or watch our first game (Since we're just starting out) here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nVxJzc90WA . The video is from My (The Dungeon Masters) Perspective, and kind of lifts the veil to see where i'm prepared and where i'm improvising. We play D&D next, which is essentially 3.5, but with fewer books. If you'd like you can jump in and spectate from the game, although with the twitch page it kind of makes that redundant. My suggestion is to just start . One-Shots are how I got to my level. Keep doing short games until you know how players think. And, if you are actually new to the rules, start as a player and move into being a DM shortly after (Only took me one game as player to learn enough of the rules to DM). And, if you can, try to DM a few games where you PURELY improvise, as improvisation is an insanely important skill. I hope that helps, send me an IM if you're interested in spectating from the game itself. *wink* -J
I spent a year playing with the notes until i realized it was either 'man up and DM with no experience' or no game, and we ran a couple sessions so far. they're kinda good, but can get better :D I'm aware of Next and would like to see it in action. Will definitely watch, thanks.
