
Hello, my name Jin. I've been playing/dming D&D over various editions for 3 years, 2 of those on Roll20. I'm a fairly laid back person and generally get along with just about anyone. I prefer a play style that is more roleplay/puzzle heavy. I'm not a huge fan of combat but am fine with it on a necessity basis. I generally get really into my characters and unless I happen to be sick one day will always give them a voice to help differentiate oog and ig conversations. I have added a few examples of characters that I've played/created. This is to help you understand the type of characters I like to play and whether or not I would be a good fit for your campaign. Mellie Race: Triton Class: Tempest Cleric Backstory: Mellie was always a tricky child. She loved getting into things/places she wasn't meant to be. If there was mischief at hand, you can bet Mellie was behind it. After growing a bit older, Mellie left her home to go see other places other than the coast. However, it wasn't too long after her town was washed away by a great storm. Everything was gone. Her parents, friends, home, childhood hangouts, nothing was left. After losing herself and having a breakdown, Mellie heard a voice. This voice called her into the ocean. Once entering, she lost consciousness. However, she never felt the sensation of drowning. Instead, she was floating and a woman was standing in front of her. The woman introduced herself as Umberlee. She promised that if she worshiped her, she could prevent this from happening to other's homes. Mellie agreed happily. She awoke on the beach. Upon composing herself, she went in search of a temple. Upon finding one she joined their ranks as a cleric and now travels spreading the word of The Bitch Queen. Rinny Race: Selkie Class: Glamour Bard Backstory: Rinny was raised on a far off undiscovered island. Her family constantly warned her the dangers that humans brought. She was often told tales of how certain humans like to trap Selkies as prizes by stealing their pelts. However, she didn't heed these warnings. She eventually left home and joined a group of pirates. She enjoyed being close to the ocean without feeling tied to it. She didn't like alot of the terrible things the crew did. However, she enjoyed providing entertainment to the crew with her unnaturally beautiful voice. The captain of the ship began to fall in love with Rinny. I guess you could say more in love with the idea of her. Rinny, however, met a beautiful half orc girl in port one day. She was ready to the crew and finally settle down with this lass. She didn't care if she had to give up her pull to the ocean. The captain grew jealous. He stole Rinny's pelt and hid it away from her. Not being able to return to her natural form. Rinny was forced to leave the girl and continue sailing. A few years after being back on the sea. The ship was taken down by other pirates. The captain was lost and so was any knowledge of where her pelt lied hidden away. Rinny is now in search of any clue or hint to where her pelt lies so she can return to the ocean and hopefully the girl she fell in love with. Asteria Rosethorn Race: Nymph Class: Moon Druid Backstory: Asteria grew up in her hidden grove in the land of summer in the Faewild. Being produced from the earth itself, she had no family or friends. It was her and her grove for the longest. She eventually began dabbling in earth magic to pass her days. Everything was going great until one day the summer queen took over her grove. She was exiled and homeless. She discovered a portal and went through to seek help. Asteria found herself in the midst of the Prime Material Plane searching for people who will help her take back her grove. \ Fang Race: Shifter Class: Mastermind Rogue Backstory: Fang doesn't remember much from her childhood. The only thing she remembers is waking up in a pool of blood and bodies and being escorted to a prison. She spent most of her childhood in the prison. Barely being fed and being prodded with swords and other sharp objects to tease her, Fang often found herself crying and screaming for help in the dead of nights. This lasted until she reached 14(adulthood for Shifters). After hearing guards yell and cry, some even begging to be shown mercy, a man appeared in front of her cell. He told her that he saw a greater purpose in her and needed her to assist him. So, he broke her out and took her to hi "city". This "city" was basically an underground tunnel system with large caverns that were set up to look like rooms. He explained he needed a guard to keep his citizens in check and she was to be that guard. Little did she know at the time, the "citizens" were children. He was enslaving urchins to do what he needed. As long as they stayed in line, they wouldn't face Fang. Fang was forced to shift in front of the children. She hated what he was making her do. So, she escaped vowing to come back and release them. So, she set out trying to find people to help her take down this man. Natali Marsk Race: Human Class: Weapon Master Fighter Backstory: Natali remembers nothing past a couple of years ago. Her memory only consists of waking up in the throne room with an entire royal family slain, along with their guards and all their staff. Natali was wearing a signet ring with the name "Natali Marsk" engraved into it. It wasn't long before she smelled smoke. The castle was being burned to the ground. She had no choice but to run. She is now taking on small jobs trying to find out who she is and what happened that night. Caelynn Ilphilkiir Race: Elf Class: Druid Backstory: Caelynn is the heir to one of the Six main Druid tribes, Earth. Animal, Fire, Earth, Air, Water, Spirit those are the six tribes of Druids. Before being able to ascend the throne she must prove herself worthy to all tribes including her own. Caelynn tends to hold herself to a high expectation. She will never settle for anything less than perfect and any loss in battle she takes upon herself. Sometimes her thoughts can be more detrimental than good. She would throw herself in front of any blade to make sure those she cares most about live. Setting off on this journey she hopes to make friends and allies that will last a life time. Phenri: Race: Changeling Class: Witch Backstory: She doesn't really have much of a backstory. Her memory begins three years prior to the campaign starting. She awoke one day amongst a carnival that claimed she was one of there's but she has no memories. However, she did continue to perform with them for a short amount of time before eventually heading off to find who she really is.
