Hello folks of Roll20. I'm a lightly experienced 5th Edition D&D player looking to play in a campaign with some cool D&D folks that I feel would be a great long term fit for me, as part of a longer term thing with a neat group. I'm looking for a group that I'll be able to make some nice friends with and have good times together, and build some cool characters both with combat and story/roleplaying. And most of all, to be able to have fun with a hobby I'd like to experience with others. I'm looking to play through Roll20 for the campaign stuff and communicating/voice chatting with Discord. Ideally it would be the start of a new campaign. A Level 1 start may be preferable since those are pretty easy to work with as far as low level starts, though a Level 3 start may be okay too. Joining a group in the middle of a campaign could also be considered, as long as it hasn't gone much into the campaign yet. Player Name: Ryan Tabletop Experience: Along with being semi-experienced in playing 5th Edition D&D, I have experience with some other forms of tabletop back in the day when I was much younger. Mainly with 2nd Edition D&D and the Star Wars tabletop game. I never was a part of any long running games then, but enjoyed playing those all the same when I had the chance. I've played various different RPG video games as well, including some that have used D&D or D&D inspired mechanics. Favorite Part of RPGs: Finding fun and interesting things about what you're playing in both conventional and unconventional ways. It's great to have a fun activity and hobby where you can make friends and do interesting things together both in and out of character. Character Name: Alyrra 'Night Eyes' Nephodell Race/Class: Half-Elf/Half-Halfling, Fighter going into Eldritch Knight (with some multiclass). Like a high defenses Fighter/Mage melee type. Character Idea: A Chaotic Good Half-Elf/Half-Halfling who comes from unusual but humble origins, and is a good natured and inquisitive freelance Private Investigator (in the ways one would exist in a fantasy realm anyway). She is unafraid of checking out the unknown if the time comes, and her trained eye catches plenty in investigation. I can tell you a bit more about how I've flavored Half-Elf/Half-Halfling mechanically in PMs, along with more details of her background and backstory. I have a picture of my character I'll share below. --- For scheduling, I'm in the US Central timezone and am looking to play weekly, hopefully twice a week if it works for the group. Tuesdays, Wednesday evenings, Fridays, and Saturdays are the days that work for me. I have some preferences as a player I could share in PMs if you were interested in me joining. One of them is that I have a heavy preference for a Good Aligned Party and would prefer for the other party members to be Good Aligned, as I feel that dynamic is what I'm looking for and usually results in the party to be able to work together or have similar goals.
