Last night’s Tuesday Classic Traveller game was pretty intense. Let me see if I can summarize all that went down. To start with the players previously failed in their attempt to stop a war. Now they are caught on the front line and trying the backup plan to end the conflict. This requires them to steal the body of the assassinated Duchess, steal a star ship and transport the body several parsecs away so that a mysterious race of aliens can attempt to resurrect her. Their plans started to go bad at the morgue when they were recognized by a reporter for TAS, whom they then decided to kidnap. And then while attempting to gain access to the base, where the star ship was being fueled, they came under cruise missile attack resulting in the near death of one player. Once they boarded the star ship they discovered the small squad of soldiers it was transporting. After some small amount of gun fire and tanq gas was applied they had control of the ship, lifted off and immediately came under attack by two 10 ton fighters. Surviving only due to heroic pulse laser shots and the computer’s anti-missile program. In jump space they discovered that one of the two prisoners they had taken was sabotaging the Jump drive. Leaving Jump space they found they were in the middle of a debris field formed from the broken bits of ship’s destroyed in a major space battle. This led to a rescue mission into one of the wrecked and drifting patrol cruisers. Now they sit in a stolen star ship in enemy territory with no fuel and a damaged Jump Drive and the body of the dead ruler in a low berth in the cargo hold. Go play with your funny dice D&D!
