Preface: Hello, person viewing this post! This is a madman's attempt at homebrewing a campaign made in a totally not rip-off of the game Frostpunk by 11 bit studios! Seriously though, it's a very similar world a spinoff if you will. The world is mostly frozen like in Frostpunk, but not every place is the same, where as in England the weather is pretty consistent year round, there are those places in the world that have quite drastic changes between seasons and those that were always of a consistent hot and humid nature. The results of which produce entirely different conditions when the temperature drops radically. PC's: Amid all the freezing lips and steam, there in lies a world which has survived the storms and cold and strived on to create societies of grand stature. Your characters would not be the original generation when the world descents into the frigid wasteland, nor the children of said generation. Your character would be the first generation born into the cold or possibly second, given that the storms descended neigh on fifty years in the past. Oh and fantasy races will be a debatable topic dependant on what you, the players, would like. All humans, furries galore, giant flying noodle monsters, whaaatever works as long as we can all agree upon it. MAGIC: Yes! There will be magic, but given the nature of magic, its unpredictability, dangerous nature, and years of required learning to become an adept weaver of the magical arts in a society that has booming and advanced steamworks has left it an art form that few master or even learn, even before the cold. But those that do, whilst few and far between, are not to be trifled with given the efficacy of those mystic arts. Steam: What steampunk world doesn't have some crazy and mysterious steam powered machines? Yes! This one shall have many, advanced technology utilizing that breath of life gaseous substance known as steam. It can get wild and if you really wanted something, feel free to actually look at the game Frostpunk for some inspiration, or simply let your mind wander and drum up fantastical machinations of wonder. OOC: So, I know not too many people on here will be looking or know what the hell Mythras is, it's fine, I'm not looking for pros, we'll bumble through this together and have some fun. I also request that those involved be at least 16+, I'm not here to play with kids, my personal FBI guy would probably dislike that.
