2xLFG 5e AND starting a campaign

my friend and i want to join a roll20 dungeons and dragons 5th edition group, preferably a core campaign, so not a mod campaign or a similar pen and paper tabletop game.  i'm also interested starting a 5-10 session campaign myself which i could start a full blown level 1 campaign if the group likes my style afterwards.  i'm brand new to roll20 but i've been playing dungeons and dragons games and in person for decades and i've played every edition except 4th.  my friend and i are looking for an adult group on weekends, but are open to other times, days and ages.  we don't need exclusively adults, but when i dm i want to make sure the players know we will not be holding back conversation if anyone has sensitive ears.  i want players to feel comfortable to say what they want as long as it's legal.  if you are a group or are interested in joining my, let me know in private message or post here.  in the campaign i will dm i didn't read anything about not allowing children but i'm considering making it a mature group.  inclustivity doesn't seem to apply to ages, but it's not like it will be a sex driven campaign.  i want players to have the freedom to say and roleplay however they wish.   my friend and i aren't specifically young or old adults ourselves, to give you an idea of our ages.   we are looking to start playing with a group as soon as possible.  the group i plan to dm, i don't have a start date on it.  i am thinking of asking everyone who is interested what day and time works best for them before i set a day and time.  

I am interested in the group you are going to run. Friday evenings, Saturday Mornings and late evenings as well as all day Sunday are going to be the best times for me due to my work schedule but I can try to squeeze games in on weekdays but only late evenings. I have some experience as both a player and a DM though DMing is far from my forte. I have few characters that I would like to flesh out and I love to roleplay, one being a post reconstruction era southern gentleman and the other is Feral Tiefling sorcerer/ Storm Sorcery who is super peppy even though he has little experience in dealing with people. 

Yeah that sounds like a pretty fun campaign id be happy to join if you've have me I have some player and DM exp and around half a year Im always looking for opportunities to play and i have a couple characters i want to play with one being hobogoblin wizard,warforged assassin (going for a Starwars droid feel IG-88 HK-55) or a human fighter who focuses on crossbows if you think any of these sound nice send a dm via discord I response quicker that way  Überherr#1914

I would love to join in on the campaign your running, I have 3-4 years of player experience. The characters I had an idea of would either be a Human monk, or a Half elf hexblade or GOO warloc. i appreciate the interest.   i plan to start a mini campaign but my stipulation is that i want to get into a campaign myself first.  i will be checking this thread regularly.  i plan to post here and contact everyone if and when my campaign is within a week of beginning.  

i joined a group.  i'll get to work on my own campaign and contact each person who expressed interest individually and also post here when i'm ready.  roll20 gives a 3 month time limit to start from when you post, so i'll start soon.  

i joined a group but plans changed and i still want to start my own campaign but no start time as of now and it might be more than 3 months from when i made this initial post.  i recorded everyone's names who are interested and i will contact by private message everyone who has expressed interest when it's very close to starting the campaign.  something changed out of my control and i put my campaign on hold.
