Agatha Agatha sends her letter out, and spend some time playing with Emily who gives her another drawing. She looks for mentions of Explictica Defilus, and finds one in an old tome about forbidden forms of magic. The text speaks of how Explictica Defilus discovered a form of immortality by pledging herself to Serpentine, one of the Primordial Gods of Cerilia. However it references other material that was lost when the old Royal College of Sorcery was destroyed. Perhaps it could be found, but the sinister black smoke that still comes from the rubble of the old college building would caution her against such a task. Nim Nim successfully improves her skills during her downtime. The presence of the girls in Nim's body can sometimes be extremely distracting, especially when they start fighting over control. Whenever Nim rolls a natural 1 on a D20 she gains the stunned condition until the end of her next turn. If Nim can succeed on DC15 Wisdom Saving Throw she is not stunned. Nim gains Vos, Low Brecht, High Brecht, and Basarji as bonus languages, but only as long as the girls remain with her. They can however act as teachers (free of charge) if she wishes to learn those languages herself. Whenever Nim finishes a long, or short rest roll 1d8. Whatever number she rolls is the personality from one of the girls that is dominant that day (see below). If Nim already has expertise in any of the below proficiencies gain advantage instead. She discovers the following about the girls: Hannah (1) - Is extremely intelligent, but also very quiet. Loves reading. When you bring up any topics of literature she suddenly becomes very talkative. She's extremely immature, and tends to constantly wine and complain when she doesn't get what she wants. She demands that Nim call her "Princess Nadia." She loves playing games, with toys, and other forms of entertainment. Whilst Nadia is dominant Nim has disadvantage on her Wisdom saving throws to avoid being stunned (see above). Additionally she grants Nim expertise, and advantage on attempts to pass as a Vos child. Sasha (4) - Sasha loves music, but cries easily. She's extremely depressed, and sad. She has no self esteem, and always seems to think her music is god awful in spite of her skill. She has absolutely no self confidence. Sasha grants proficiency in all instruments, and expertise on performance and piano checks. Maria (5) - Maria is extremely bubbly, happy, and friendly. She is also extremely empathetic, and great at reading the moods of other people. She does however love sweets, and will go crazy if she doesn't get what she wants. Maria grants expertise with Cook's Utensils, and Insight. However she also gives disadvantage on Nim's Wisdom saving throws to avoid being stunned if she does not get her sweets. Sam (6) - Sam has a love for the night's sky. She loves looking up to the star's and imagining what it would be like to travel the world. She has a large amount of wanderlust, but is also kind friendly, and understanding. While she is dominant Nim cannot be lost as long as she can see the night's sky. Additionally she grants both expertise and advantage on any knowledge checks (religions, history, nature, or arcana) involving the stars, astral bodies, or the moon. Prudence Prudence starts the efforts to rebuild the forest. A divide starts to develop in her realm. The loggers are upset with her decision, but many of the more traditional locals agree with her wisdom. The situation escalates, and Prudence receives word that the fighting in some areas has ended in bloodshed. Worse yet the Countess also receives a call to arms from the Baroness as stories that orogs are massing along the border of Roesone and The Spiderfell seem to be true. Prudence practices her Anuirean, and manages to barely get the hang of it only because she's been spending so much time ruling her domain in Roesone. Zentha Zentha practices, but doesn't quite feel she has improved her mastery of magic to a significant degree. She does however learn her new spell. Diesa Diesa discovers that Teresa had indeed been spotted some time ago in the Dwerren lands. Few dwerren folk are willing to talk much of it, but you learn from Tharune Steelshield, a local tavern keep that she got drunk in his establishment one evening began shouting "THE EYES! THE EYES WATCH MORRENDEEP!" She also discovers that Morrendeep was a long lost Dwerren fortress in the middle of the mountains on the edge of the Khurinlach, and the Promontory. Many dwarves still search for the ruin, but as of yet all parties doing so have either not found it or not returned. Hunter Hunter discovers that the Moonlit King hails from the Tuarannwn. A forest that once belonged to the sidhelien, but has since become horribly corrupted. When the Vos people attempted to push into their lands they used fell wild magic of The Primordial Gods, and the wild magic tore the land asunder. It's now full of horrible, twisted beasts, and wild sidhe. Fey roam the lands, and it's said that not even the gods of Cerilia would fair well in such place. According to the texts of The Scarlet Devil (a powerful wizard who sits on The Council of The Cohort Arcanum) the magic in the area registers as 12/12 (on a scale of 0-9). Member of The Cohort pledge themselves to The Fate Weaver, but only a few members have ever encountered her. There is unfortunately no audience to be had. OOC: Make sure you write up that letter, and get it to me before the trial. Drake Drake successfully improves his skills. Roland Roland does not manage to sell the book, and only through his quick witted actions manages to avoid arrest. The tome almost gets confiscated by the local authorities in the area. The book holds fell magic of evil necromancy. Roland gains 1 point of infamy in all Brecht lands. Roland studies the book. According to the texts of it Azrai cannot truly be killed, only his essence scattered. Of course one could say the same about any of the old gods. Rather or not he's still alive, or has the potential to return is anyone's guess. With that said he was powerful enough to fight all the other gods combined. So if any of the old gods were to have survived Deismaar he would be the one. Hedrin Hedrin improves his abilities. Korak Korak successfully learns the language of the Rjurik people, but not from the ones in Drachenward. He is given warning one eve by a little girl who tells him "The mammoth stirs, and turns its gaze those who destroyed its home." Korak wisely flees. Lolgon Lolgon finishes his training, and writes his letter. The Kallanon informs you directly that he takes such matters seriously, Mr. Darkwood will be reprimanded for his actions (-1 Renown with The Cohort Arcanum for Drake). Zolis Zolis trains, and improves himself to the next level (up). OOC: In the future if you could please make sure you're leveling up if you're doing so. I want to avoid any ambiguity in downtime actions where possible. Teresa See Diesa's downtime actions. Cordie Cordie successfully deepens her connection with her patron. The wooden idol just appears to be a religious symbol of some sort. When Cordie has more time she could look into it. Mamm Mamm finishes her training, and has definitely improved! Tipper Tipper is dismissed from The Cohort Arcanum. Siegfried Siegfried earns 72bp during his downtime (don't forget to subtract your lifestyle expenses). Orithar Orithar spends time training, learning, and improving his abilities with magic. Unfortunately this leaves him little time to research any of the items he found. Martha disallows The Cohort Arcanum from taking the items from her mansion, and during the conversation discovers that Orithar stole some items from the basement. He is informed that he will need to return the items he took, or risk facing criminal prosecution from Molochev. Robert Robert utterly fails at his attempts to learn how to ride. The stable keep is only able to offer him a discount as he still needs to feed his family (60gp instead of 90gp for the lessons). Takumir Takumir doesn't manage to find any good work this week. OOC: In the future please be more specific with your downtime actions, even if you need to state them out of character. Shango Shango finally embraces the wind, and feels her power course through his veins. Jannis Jannis increases his prowess with not just fighting, but also the tactics behind it. Darvius Darvius begins learning Low Brecht, but doesn't quite manage to grasp it.
