Hello all, I'm new to the scene and interested in trying out a D&D campaign. I've never played before but I've seen a few youtube videos and read a bit about it and it sounds like something I'd really like to try. I'm mostly interested in trying a one shot or a short campaign that welcomes new players (a lot of handholding may be involved) so I can get a proper feel for the game before I dive into something that requires a heftier commitment. Additionally, if anyone has any tips or links to resources that may help guide me in the right direction here it would be greatly appreciated. Some potentially relevant information: I'm 30 years old and work a nine to five (sometimes six) and would mostly be available for Saturday's after 2PM EST or any time on Sundays. I've done quite a bit of forum RP in the past so I am at least familiar with story structure, character development and world building. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for reading!
