"unable to find character to edit" is the error I get when I try to access a character sheet and click edit. I thought the problem was just with me after I tried in both chrome and firefox but now one of my players is having the same issue. Please help!!!!!

I've experienced this error a dozen times over the last few days as has one of my players (yes I am the DM) but it seems to resolve itself when I try back later. . Character Sheet = D&D 5e by Roll20.

Thanks for the follow up. Yeah, it looks like it's still happening. The first character sheet I tried to access got the same error. It's a sheet from the module we're playing. copy works like a charm..... MAJOR lag time in opening the editor though as it took at least a couple minutes on the black loading screen.

Hi The Hollow -  Well, I'm glad it seemingly resolved the issue for you! Hmmm, that huge lag is strange though - if you exit and re-enter that game is that lag continuing? Or was it only occurring when you entered the game for that very first time? Also, would you mind having your player(s) log into that copied game to see if they run into the "unable to find character to edit" issue as well, please?

2 players report no problems accessing chracter sheet within the copy. Seems to load better for me now. So, I guess we should just use the COPY and delete the old one?

Hey The Hollow -  That's great to hear! I would definitely recommend using the copy for now since it seems to be working better. However, if you don't mind, I would ask that you don't delete the old game quite yet - I'll forward it to our dev team so they can further investigate what may have happened and look at issue prevention. Of course, you can absolutely do whatever you need as well though - either way we appreciate your patience and assistance as we worked through this! :)

Thanks for all the help! I ran a 3.5 hour session in the COPY last night without any problems. I did have a connection issue towards the end but I just rebooted my router and my PC and it was good. No worries I wont delete the old game
