Greetings, Our time slot is a bit unusual (Fridays
1am EST/6am GMT, the wee hours of the night for US gamers), but if anyone is
interested, we are seeking a few more players for Astonishing Swordsmen
and Sorcerers of Hyperborea . This is an old-school Swords & Sorcery
game inspired by the writings of Lovecraft, REH, and CAS and using a sturdy and
flavorful ruleset derived/cleaned up from first edition AD&D. We will
use Jeff Talanian's stock setting of Hyperborea supplemented
with a few cool ideas from McKinney's Carcosa , Newport's World of
Zarth (Crypts & Things) , Raggi's LotFP ,
Spalding's Seven Voyages of Zylarthen, and others. First session will be Thursday
night/Friday morning, the 31st, and we already have a couple of players rolling
up characters. We'd love to have you too!
