That would be nice.  I couldn't find where in the video they talked about this, but it wasn't in their "top priorities".  So, I'm dubious they can deliver on this especially since there are only 4 months left in 2020. Same, especially when they have to publish Tasha's Cauldron of Everything in November.
If it takes additional resources you hire contractors and make it happen. Based on the increased popularity & success of the platform during the pandemic that makes it unlikely this is the cause. If it takes licensing/other you deal with those differently. Perhaps the new Tasha's book will include some of the SCAG items and they want to promote that instead. Perhaps there's an undisclosed Forgotten Realms book under the horizon. Lets all speculate together!  8-D As for DMG, I mostly want firearms to make it into Charactermancer/compendium, the rest are nice to haves, especially the magic items, but it hasn't been that hard for me to pull what I need from D&D Beyond where Roll20 falls short. It's just annoying to have to deal with multiple sources when one vendor could meet all your needs.

Over the summer, and probably before that as well, roll20 have contracted more Compendium Content creators. keithcurtis , who have responded in this thread, is one among them. So yeah, the fact that more people have been hired, the one Module from the backlog was published some month ago, and since the start of the year they have promised that it will be out this year, I'm very confident it will be published in 2020, at the very latest by Christmas.

Just to clarify, in case anyone is interested, and since I post on many threads and topics: It is a contracted position. I still neither speak for Roll20 in any way, nor does it give me any special insights beyond those required to perform the tasks. I also am bound by NDAs regarding work I do for Roll20. That being said, I am confident that Roll20 will fulfill its stated goals. It is very rare for Roll20 to give a public hard deadline for anything. In this case, they have.
was hoping to make my bladesinger for skt here but looks like I'm going to have to cut and past all the info now. Been waiting for this book for a long time.
Copy & paste from D&D Beyond is a wonderful thing.
I don't understand why fantasy grounds and other tabletop systems already have these things but roll20 does not.

SCAG!!!!!! I need it too..... Now mid October and just about to explode. Need it and have cash!
An update from Roll20 on the release date would be nice.  Doesn't Roll20 typically post a release date for content when it get's close? I remember seeing all sorts of stuff for Icewind Dale on Roll20 months before it released.

Icewind Dale had an imposed deadline that was already public. Roll20 has an official policy of underpromise, overdeliver on things like release dates. If they were to release a date on this, it would likely mean that the project had been finished, sent off to WotC for approval and already come back with any requested modifications done. I.e. maybe a week before release to deal with the push cycle.
I'm glad to read in the October Blog post that SCAG is still on track to release by the end of the year.  TI am still really looking forward to having this compendium in roll20! As for Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition, we have some very exciting news; we’re targeting a complete 5th edition backlog on Roll20 by the end of the year, with Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide and, yes, the Dungeon Master’s Guide live on the site. Stay tuned for more info!
Actually, I just noticed that Tasha's Cauldron of Everything has many of the SCAG subclasses and spells, specifically Bladesinger, Green Flame Blade, etc.  And a whole lot more of new subclasses and spells.  Maybe I'll just get that instead of SCAG.  Unfortunate timing for roll20; Tasha's may have everything I'm looking for without needing SCAG.  Unless there is a bundle of both books that makes it too appealing to pass up...
Ya Been waiting for two years if not more for the book.I have not spent any money on dnd beyond but I think I'll just buy buy what I have know and the other books on their. Scag for the class and race us not that  big. Their is no reason why I should waste any more money on here. Might even just call it a lose a switch platefroms.because for being the biggest virtual tabletop. there is no reason for company this big. Not to have that book and just say we will get to it. Honestly the reason I have nothing on dnd beyond cuz I mainly play on roll20 using the charactermanic cuz I don't want to copy and paste. And it works most the time
Another +1 for would buy SCAG... Come on Roll20
+1 Cant wait
Amazing that the wait continues. They're advertising Tasha's but never rolled out the SCAG. This is basically the only reason Fantasy Grounds got my money.

Both SCAG and the DMG have been announced for Dec. 3.

This is great news!  Given the problems with Tasha’s CoE, I’ll be waiting to see how SCAG is implemented in both the Compendium and Charactermancer. I really hope it’s done well (and better than the implementation and integration of Tasha’s).

I think the issues with TCoE integration were mainly dealing with new systems being added, as opposed to just new classes. The changes to some basic ways things are done likely require coding changes on the CM level as opposed to just adding Compendium data. Roll20 has a variable time for conversion on these matters, depending upon when they receive advance materials.
That is great news! I'll probably be getting my DM the SCAG for Christmas, then!
Carl T. said:  the couple of comments lost the original content of this post , when are we getting sword coast adventures. They promised by the end of 2020 well , they lied because it is December There is a lot of great native American or indigenous people lure within that content, or maybe that's the reason why they haven't allowed it for purchase . But they did release Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide on Roll20. Back mid-November. Are you saying there is missing content from the released SCAG compendium?
