Sheet editior question

I been seeing a lot bout this sheet editor. I have a sheet for a prexisting format but its got a lot of positioning errors and such. The totals dont line up with the stat and so forth. Where can i find this editor...and can i use that to fix em?

You have to be a Pro subscriber to access the custom sheet feature, which is what gives access to the sheet editor.
Ok i see that now...would i be able to fix what i mentioned with it?

Just to add, the editor is a very basic text editor (i believe it has some "code-friendly" functionality, ie closures, colored tags, etc...) Most people code locally in their favorite editor than copy/paste and save to roll20's editor.  Recently roll20 added a "sandbox" feature that allows a sheet author to skip the copy/paste/save routine and simply link to their local html, css, and json files to refresh the sandbox code. The older editor is still available(can't have any other users in your sandbox games) but the new sandbox option is a MUCH faster process now! Regular game settings editor New sandbox

Where can i find this editor...and can i use that to fix em? Unless the sheet is made with HTML/CSS, you won't have much use of it, and if it is, it will likely result on ton of editing to make it work on roll20. Read the guide to the sheet editor and how custom character sheets work: <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Building_Character_Sheets" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Building_Character_Sheets</a>

If it's from outside roll20, you'll have to completely rebuild it from scratch. Edit:&nbsp; I should have refreshed the page before replying. Others have already said the same essentially :)

The sheet in question is from chris perrin's "mecha" the actual box where the stats are...arent lined up right(in microsoft edge)..you gotta clik way outside the area to find where it "actually" is on the sheet. I just wanted to correct it so we could make use of it. If you load it in mozilla...the center section where rolls are performed doesnt show up...and thus is unusable.
This is what its spose to look like...(microsoft edge, stats dont line up in this) see the center stuff? And this is what i get in mozilla(in here everything lines up correctly however)

Something to keep in mind is that Chrome and Firefox are the only browsers supported by Roll20.&nbsp; Any character sheets or updates to sheets are expected to be tested in (and working in) both of those.&nbsp; From the Minimum Requirements: Chrome &amp; Firefox compatible . The two official supported browsers of Roll20 are Chrome &amp; Firefox. All character sheets need to be tested for functionality and styling in these two browsers. <a href="https://roll20.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037773453" rel="nofollow">https://roll20.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037773453</a>

How are you testing this with just a Plus subscription? Are the images you're showing from inside Roll20, or some external thing? Creating/editing custom character sheets requires access to a Pro subscription.

im not testing it...i was comparing the two types of browsers i have. Edge displays it correctly, firefox(mozilla) doesnt display the center stuff. its what i wanted to try and fix. But when i launch it from edge....all the box locations are not in the correct locations in reference to the sheet. For some reason firefox isnt understanding the chris perrin's character sheet

You havent answered the key question people need to know: Is this being tested ON roll20, as a custom sheet there, or has it been made in another site? Roll20 has its own requirements - you cant just take a sheet from somewhere else and have it work on roll20.

FWIW, it is a sheet on Roll20:

And to answer the original question, the Sheet Editor Sandbox as I understand it, doesn't give you any more design capabilities or reduce the skill set needed to create a sheet. It simply makes the process more efficient .

I figured out the problem as seen on firefox. the z-index of the middle-section was set to "-10", so putting a higher number on it will bring it to the front. tested with "10" and the sheet shower section as it should. If Edge shows things properly, it just means it somehow ignores the z-index of the section, and doesn't place it under the background like it does on firefox(and likely on chrome).
so is there a way someone can just quick fix this? my group and i are having a horrid time getting this to work. Some see the center stuff and some dont :(
