Advanced Fog of War and Dynamic Lighting

I'm sure this isn't a new topic and that the solution is easy, but I have been unable to find  answers anywhere. I'm a new to Roll20 with a Pro account. During our current pandemic, I'm moving the two games I DM to Roll20. We have run two "practice" sessions with some frustration. The frustration revolves around my inability to get advanced FoW and DL to work. The features are turned on in the map edits. I have set player tokens to emit light. But no matter what I do, there is no reveal, no dynamic lighting- nothing. All they see is black. I can use the reveal feature, but even then what they see is muted- not really revealed. I have tried this with multiple maps and settings. I have emailed Roll20, who was prompt with answering my one prior question, but due to increase game play they are behind (completely understandable given the circumstances). My one group is due to play again tomorrow. I could really use some help quickly.. Thanks in advance.

You need to make sure their Tokens are set up to have Sight and be sure to set a distance for light radius and start of dim. You may also need to set the tokens to represent their character sheets.

Vegemite Dangerous. Thanks for the response. I have actually done all those things to no avail. Any other ideas? I will give your specific settings a try and let you know what happens.

You might want to post screenshots of your token settings (just to be sure nothing is getting overlooked) and your map page settings.  That will help people spot issues without having to go back and forth too many times.
This is player view
this is dm view with token settings. Map is a campaign map from purchased descent into avernus with dynamic lighting. as you can see it is still not lit for dm either.

Yeah, but we need the map page settings you access as a DM.  For instance, are you running both Fog of War and Advanced Fog of War?  If so, that explains why you need to reveal areas because that is how Fog of War works (players only see what the DM reveals).  Then the Advanced Fog of War works off of token vision lighting and reveal distance, but it is also affected by regular Fog of War tools, so revealing may be only affecting it.  If you don't have both going, then there is a problem with your settings.  But anyone trying to help you really needs to see how ALL of that is set up to help.  So, screenshots of the token settings screen for that token and the map page settings would be very helpful.
Hey! Not sure what I did, but stumbled on settings that work. Thanks so much.

Sometimes that is the way things go...  At least you now have something you can look back at!

The above issue was most likely due to having regular Fog of War enabled. The default when enabling that is to obscure the entire map. Areas must be cleared for anyone to see. And Fog of War trumps both Dynamic Lighting and Advanced Fog of War.
