Absolute beginner looking to try DnD

I've always been interested in trying DnD, or generally tabletop RPG's as a whole, but never had a group. I figured I'd try and find a group online and wound up here! GMT timezone, I have a basic grasp of all the tenets of DnD from character building to gameplay (somewhat). If a newbie GM or some such is looking for a guinea pig to practice with I'm down for that too.
