You walk from the cool dark of your tent, into the morning light as the sun, now replacing the two moons of this new world, takes its place on the Eastern horizon. You look out and see the expanding deserts of this new world, mountains in the distance in one direction, but sand everywhere. You are one of the first born or brought in this new world, of this world, and now it's time to explore, and see what is around, and how it might help the people, and the gods. As you stand up, you look back, remembering when you were given your task by the gods themselves. Horus, King of this new land of Min Misr, has tasked your group (one of many) to investigate these lands, and report back what you find. Standing nearly 18' high, Horus knelt as he spoke to the teams heading out" "Be mindful, watch yourself, look after each other, and may the stars shine to give you your way home. If not, then may you be judged worthy." And with that last word, your teams set off into the new world, looking to see what you can find; new lands, new friends, treasure, new magics and ... new enemies. What creatures await you in this ever drifting world. Is the entire world like this, is it all sand? What and who will you find.... Just over 20 years earlier, the events of the movie " Gods of Egypt " occurred. At the end of that, Ra and Horus decided to leave the world Ra had made, as the damage from Apophis and Sett was severe. So in his wisdom, Ra accessed a higher realm of magic, and through some skill, moved the people, and the wealth of Egypt to a new world, far from Apophis and the memories of what happened. This left Apophis to destroy Egypt, but it's people were saved. Your character is one of the first generation born to (and brought to) this new world. You have lived in a city as it was built by the gods, for everyone to live in together. The gods walk amongst your peoples, and you know you are blessed because of that. I am looking for 5 players, to join a newly starting campaign set in my homebrew world. This is an East Marches STYLE game in a few ways, mainly as this is an exploration style campaign. Your task is to set out, and discover PART of this new world, and then eventually report back to the gods what you found. This is a modified fortnightly 5e campaign, with a focus on ROLEplay over ROLLplay. I go more with rule of cool, than anything else. I am going to be running this on the second and forth weekends of the month. From 7.30pm Brisbane (GMT+10, 4.30am CT), for about three hours. BEFORE you reply to put your hand up, I run a moderately modified 5e game. You can find my house rules [HERE] . These are updated semi regularly, so if interested, keep an eye on them. There is one more rule, atm, not in that page, but I will be doing THAT in the next day or so. I also have some basic house rules too, and if you don't like anything I have here, please only apply and comment if you are HAPPY to play in this game. First house rule is every player gets two sessions of play, at the end of that second session, the current player(s) and the GM have a chat about the player, WITH the player. What I am doing is checking to see if you like me (style as a GM, etc.), like the other players, like the style of game and if you want to continue. The OTHER side of the conversation, is the same thing but the rest of the table about you, and if we feel you fit in. This is done, so that campaigns can run a long time. If you don't like my game, I would want to know more. I have more, I will talk about them in game. I also will be streaming this, and so I don't allow anyone else to stream (to Twitch) my games. A little about me: I have been playing for 37 years, started in D&D, played many other games and genres over the years, and have been GMing for 29 or so years now. I have won awards for playing (characterisation and roleplaying) and GMing at several CONs here in Australia. I am also pretty decent with Roll20, and have a lot of Macros for people to use to make life easier in game. So drop a reply here if you are interested in joining in. I will reply to questions once a day, and interest will be taken in the order it comes to me in.
