Looking for Shadowrun 4e group

I have been looking to try out roll20 with Shadowrun I've got another buddy who is looking to play with me we just need a GM and a couple other players.
I'd love to get in on a Shadowrun game! Count me in if a GM can be found.
hopefully interest for shadowrun will pick up
I can GM. I'm not terribly used to 4th Edition, and I'm already running a couple Shadowrun games, playing in a Pathfinder game, and hoping to start a Degenesis game, and I'll be beginning a job and starting up school again soon so my schedule may be kinda crazy, but I can do an occasional game; I'm on Arizona time and I'm not 100% sure what my schedule will entail with my work, but I should be able to work something in.
Sounds like we might be able to get something going! Do you think you'd be able to commit to a regular time, or by "occasional game" do you mean more like just whenever it works out for everyone? Some game is better than no game!
I could probably do a regular time, but it could depend on when my shifts are versus everyone else.
I'd love to play Shadowrun. I'm also on Arizona time, and schedule's pretty open.
I'm free this weekend if people want to do something; I probably can't do Saturday unless it's early (Pathfinder with some friends and probably copious Munchkin), but I can do later on Sunday, Monday, or Friday. I'm also free tomorrow if everyone else is. My job starts Tuesday, so then I'll have a more long term schedule.
Weeknights are going to be best for me, and right now they're wide open. I could be here tomorrow (Thursday) night or Monday. Sunday would have to be later for me as well, since we'll be making the trek to the in-laws for Father's Day. Congrats on the new job! I'm still hopelessly searching... LoL. I do have an interview for a temp position tomorrow afternoon, though.
My friend and I are on pacific time so not far off, I should get him to post here. We're probably both fairly flexible for game times
And I'm the friend, he just linked me to the convo. I'm pretty open to whenever as long as I have some forewarning. anytime this weekend will be fine for me.
I'm East coast, which makes me the odd one out I guess. Depending on what time you guys want to start, I'll still try to make it work. I can be on as late as 2am EST and still function, so as long as we'd be done by then... I know that's only 11pm PST though.
I on the sort of schedule that wakes up every day at 6:30 AM regardless of whether or not I have anything, so we probably won't stay too late. Shall we aim for 7PM (AZ time) tomorrow? EDIT: This would be for an introduction and character creation session.
I could do that, Gerame and I both made some basic characters that we could change if needed for your campaign
Mostly I just like to go over stuff and make sure I don't have a party that's half well-rounded and the other half is all the same thing.
yeah i intentionally left it somewhat unfinished so i could put the last finishing touches in depending on what is needed etc.
I am definitely interested in a Shadowrun game. Count me in.
OK: Our group so far is Chris, Dave, Gerame, Trace, and Eric. That should probably be where we stop, because if we have more people it's going to get crazy.
Disregard... My real-life friend has decided to focus elsewhere.
My player limits are usually pretty flexible-I ran a 3rd Edition game with eight players and we got like six on an average session. Gear availability will be strictly followed, which is one lesson I learned from that.
So are you the one that is supposed to set up the campaign, Kyle? FWIW, the character I have ready is a Human Adept, of the sneak-thief, shoot the moving things variety.
Count me in!
I'll set it up. It turns out I can copy my macros over from my 3rd edition campaign, so this should be rather quick. I'll be sending out links to everyone I accepted before I started cutting people off (sorry Baxeh) once I get a couple things set up.
I'd like to join too if there is room.
If you guys haven't made your characters yet, I highly suggest using Chummer. <a href="http://www.chummergen.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.chummergen.com/</a> You can use most supplements, though ask me first; some are just gear and stuff and the info from Chummer is self-explanitory, others like WAR and Spy Games are less simple.
I'm new to Shadowrun, is it possible for me to get into a Shadowrun group and try it out?
Sounds good. For the record, I'm in favor of keeping the group that small. 4-5 seems to be a sweet spot. See you guys at 9 Eastern/6 Pacific. LoL
So, does that mean you already have 4-5? Or Are you counting me too? (Cause that'd be great)
We had 5 prior to Baxeh. If I thought I could handle it I might run another game, but as is I'm running two 4th Edition and one 3rd Edition games and that's just Shadowrun-I play in a Pathfinder game, I'm trying to set up a Degenesis game (link: community.roll20.net/discussion/898/lfg-degenesis-the-great-experiment), and I'm working on writing a couple games in addition to that, one of which is supposed to get a supplement released tomorrow. Plus, I'm starting a job Tuesday and going to school again in August, and if I did any more it would be a pretty hard thing for me.
Mind, I'm not opposed to the occasional drop-in player, but you'd have to make and maintain your character and you'd be basically plopped in as the run demanded.
Ah, then I won't join, don't wanna be a hassle, ya know. Hope ya lot have fun :D
Checking chummer out right now. I am also all for drop in people, usefull for when someone can't make a game
Oh, by the way, I won't have voice chat tonight; I still need to get a good headset/mic that doesn't pick up my A/C.
Can we create a Facebook group to facilitate chatting on this topic?
<a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/458950960801488/" rel="nofollow">https://www.facebook.com/groups/458950960801488/</a>
Just made one if you all want to join in. :)
Not working for me, I'd rather use something other than facebook if possible also
What do you suggest using?
I like AIM if we need to chat, but it isn't wonderful for leaving group messages. There really ought to be a forum included with our starting a campaign.
Yeah something like that would be nice.
Any thoughts on Teamlab? <a href="http://www.teamlab.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.teamlab.com/</a> Looks like it's more commerce focused than what we necessarily need, but it should have all the features we'd use and more.
we could use <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/</a> I have been using it for my character sheets and then you can attach everyone's sheets to the game
I would argue that it's a legitimate use of the RPOL servers to start a few group threads there, and a few to have our characters do some blue booking in-between. We just can't advertise for this game since it's off-site.
I tried to get start-up funding to do a site just like this one needs... sort of a Facebook for your characters.
lol
we starting soon?
Myth-Weavers looks fine for our purposes. The only downside is that there's not a way to link to a HTML page for handouts, at least as far as I've seen, so it would involve switching tabs. Also, it doesn't really have too much in terms of keeping people together unless we move over to the main forum, which could be a bother to others.
Can reach me at Gloomfall66 on AIM.
We'll start in a hour or so, all things permitting on my end. I'll be messaging you all a link to the game, though I won't be active on it just yet-I'm going to be off trying to get stuff ready, so if I don't respond don't be too surprised.
I was wondering if I had my times wrong... It is 7PM in the mountain time zone, but Arizona doesn't observe DST, which means it's only six there. So the ones of us (myself included) who didn't figure that out earlier have a bit of time to kill. LoL
Yeah, sorry about that. I'm in a bit of last-minute panic over here getting ready, so hopefully everything will be good to go by 7. I also swear I have stuff done on the campaign, it's blank because I'm hiding it until we decide what we want our focus to be. I'd like to try out some stuff from the new Hazard Pay supplement I reviewed, but I'm flexible.
