Ongoing 5E 'slightly' Homebrew game needs another Fighter, Paladin or Barbarian to round out party - starting at 6th level.

Hi, our team is yet again in need of a fighter, Paladin or Barbarian only. We just made 6th level at end of our last session so you can start at 6th level in either of those 3 classes (I don't mind if it's one of the slightly 'wonky' ones from the later books, so long as your #1 function is to pull out a sword or axe and start hacking). Our game is Sunday afternoon/evenings, weekly, starting 4pm and running to 8pm-ish (sometimes earlier, sometimes later) US Central Standard Time. I tried reaching folks from my previous thread, but got no response so trying again with a new thread. I'm going to bed after posting this, and will contact responders in the order responses are received. You can see our campaign at this link ( https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/5748411/2020-d-and-d-5e-homebrew-game ) Looking forward to adding your fighter/paladin/barbarian to our team! James, aka DM James
Hey, I’d be interested in joining.
How long do your sessions last?
Hey DM James, I'd love to chat with you more about joining. I have always loved playing a blackguard and level 6 is a great starting place imo. I've played before but it's been a while so I would need some one-on-one first to just go over some basics and get squared up but really really am itching to join a game. DM me!
I had a lot of fun writing this: Mouth of the Atikula River Environment Weather is this region is harsh, unpredictable and thus very difficult to settle in. The mouth of the Atikula river is a river delta, and build-ups of sediment stretch out from river into the ocean like roots of a tree. This makes it nearly impassable for larger ships. In addition, the surrounding area of the delta is characterized as Bermuda Triangle-like conditions: unusually hostile waves, wind, and thunder/lightning and low visibility due to storm rain. Why go here? The Mouth of the Atikula is the last place to stop for freshwater and supplies before a large expanse of ocean that features no inhabited landmasses. The Mouth of the Atikula used to be a place ships did not dare to come near due to the weather, but those with enough daring can now find an easier path into the Atikula River due to the efforts of Evendur Greycastle, the Paladin, and his companion Frug “Filchbatter” of clan Raulnor, the Artificer. Background Evendur Greycastle used to be a nomadic fisherman and a discharged Fighter, dishonorably because he lacked the conviction to lead his troops when they needed it most. One day Evendur was out fishing when he hooked onto something big. It was so strong that it dragged Evendur and his dinghy with it. But for some reason, even though all his senses told him to let go, Evendur did not let go, determined to be victorious. He fought hard, but right when he thought he might have an advantage, a huge wave seemingly appeared from nowhere and crashed over him. Evendur’s consciousness faded and he slowly sunk into the abyss of the sea. Before his consciousness faded completely however, he felt something big drag him deeper into the ocean. At some point Evendur saw a vision of a warrior, king-like figure, the Norse God Manannan mac Lir, God of Oceans and Sea Creatures. Manannan handed Evendur a seemingly unique seashell, what some might describe as a Conus Gloriamaris. Manannan and what Evendur could see in the vision slowly faded to black. Suddenly everything turned bright, and Evendur found himself sputtering sea water and gasping for breath, clawing at sediment beneath him, his hand clenched around a familiar-looking seashell. Feeling fatigued and discombobulated, Evendur trudged in the direction of what seemed to be more sediment, an area which he would later call the Mouth of the Atikula… If you're interested, I can pm you an outline of a complete backstory that includes the first time my character meets your team, why my character joins them (an undead army is involved), and also how to get rid of Saibh. Race: Variant Human Background: Hermit Alignment: Lawful Neutral Class: Lvl 6 Paladin Subclass: Oath of Heroism Build: STR Paladin with Polearm/Great Weapon/Sentinel Trifecta Weapon of Preference: Halberd Needless to say, I'm interested.
