Greetings! Hail! Well-met! Other archaic greetings! Returning to online roleplaying after a long time away. Essentially seeking to make connections with other RPers, casual games or practise sessions are ideal. Looking to rebuild my confidence roleplaying after it was damaged by a really toxic campaign, so I’m primarily after a no-stress group. Things like taking on a temporary role as an NPC hireling or other support roles. Overall, I strongly prefer roleplay over combat. I would much rather defeat the enemy by using Disable Device to jam the door shut before setting fire to the building, instead of having a big tense boss battle. I prefer for the PCs to have the option of ambushes, traps or trickery. I’m really impressed by a DM who allows all that, instead of trying to force the tense boss battle. Systems - My favourite are Pathfinder 1E & Unisystem (Buffy/Angel RPG, or All Flesh Must Be Eaten RPG, that sort of thing). I am open to other systems, but these days I will need to learn by playing. Availability - My time zone is GMT (UK time). Most reliable availability is GMT evenings (GMT 4:30-11:00), although in the current lockdown I have more availability during the day. While I am flexible, I don’t want to commit to gaming past midnight. I’m more than happy with 1 session a week (I feel too rushed with over 2 sessions a week). I like having time to work on stuff between sessions. Maybe an extra semi-session for things like shopping or downtime such as crafting, business or kingdom management. Pay To Play? - Not right now. One day I might be willing to pay for a campaign, but it needs to be with a DM I already know I’m good with, running the campaign the players ask for. Willing to DM? - Eventually, I need to relearn Roll20 first. Currently I’m trying to figure out a good way to make tokens from the pdfs for Adventure Paths. Other Notes - I’d much prefer a group willing to start off casual instead of expecting a promise of commitment at the start. I’m happy to make characters built around what the group needs (healer? Trap disarmer? Item crafter?), and have a list of sample character concepts available on request. Anyway, thanks for taking time to read!
