TokenAction Script not working fully until I uncheck NPC then recheck it

Using d&d 5e ogl roll20 sheet. I duplicated Thug eight times, and changed their names and tokens, etc.  Then I used the token action script on them (!ta).  Love this script.  BUT, the script only gave me the token actions: "Save" "Init" and "Check".  There were no attacks of any kind.  Through some tinkering, I realized that !ta added the attacks, too, after the character sheet's "NPC" check box and been unchecked, then re-checked.  Anyone have an idea why?  I'm sure !ta must work on NPCs right out of the gate, usually.  Is it a game setting, perhaps, that is preventing the attacks from being turned into token actions?
