Roll20 Pathfinder Temporary Ability not working with Buffs

So if you have a buff (active or not) that modifies an ability, you CANNOT manually decrease the ability using the temporary field. It always reverts to 0 when you attempt to input a reduction or addition. Is there anyway to change this and have the ability to add penalties or bonuses manually and still use buffs?

If this is the Pathfinder by Roll20 sheet, buffs use that temp imput on stats, so you can't mix them.  However, it probably depends on what buffs you are running.  If you have stat boosting items, you might think about putting the buffs in the config tab under racial stat bonuses and then list what is giving the boost as a note field (accessed by the cog) under the stat. That would free up the temp input, if that is where your stat buffs are coming from.  If you have a long running spell buff that is being offset by a spell (or whatever debuff), it might just be best to make a custom buff with the negative values that will then be used in the calculation of your ending stat. If you are using the community sheet, you can disregard all that.
Thanks for the reply. Yah it's for short term only using the Pathfinder by Roll20 sheet. Basically for ability damage like poison for instance but it interferes with any spell buffs they have. So I did what you asked and made a separate buff for Ability Damage and will just modify it for my players or teach them how to do it manually.
