Hello!
As much as I enjoy the group-focused stories that many standard
fantasy campaigns are, I've been missing roleplays that are more focused
on detailed individual characters with their own personal goals and
motivations. So I'm looking for a creative and imaginative roleplayer
who would like to participate in an individual character-driven story
instead!
This story will include the following:
Primarily focused on roleplaying, not on combat or dice rolling or
classes and things like that. It's more like a main course of freeform
RP with just a little side of "game" rather than the other way around
Characters that feel like they're part of the world without
necessarily having to be epic adventurers on a quest to rescue a dragon
or defeat a princess or whatever
Original, custom medieval fantasy setting that isn't too
weird or bizarre compared to other settings but which does have some
significant differences, so please no copy+pasted generic D&D
characters from other settings because we won't just be picking options
out of a book!
Starting similar to a solo campaign where it focuses on your
character's individual story elements and growth and development, but
different characters can meet up and weave their stories together a bit
if everyone involved wants to. We will still emphasize personal
character story elements even when that happens though
Discord for voice and text communication and Roll20 for maps and
other stuff. I'm in CDT [GMT–5] and most often available weekdays
afternoons and evenings and Sundays
If this sounds like something you might be interested in, please send
me a message rather than a post with the following: What
types of roleplay have you done before (anything besides D&D-style
campaigns)? Are there any favorite or memorable RP moments that you
don't mind sharing? What kind of characters do you usually like to
roleplay? Do you like variety or is there more of a preferred "type" of
character you often roleplay? And of course if you have any questions
for me about anything, just let me know!
