Inserting duplicate cards into an existing deck during gameplay

I'm setting up a game of 1000 Blank White Cards in Roll20. I have a card in a deck that needs to be duplicated, then those duplicates shuffled into the deck: There is an important distinction here: unlike  this post , the duplicate cards do not  start in the deck. I have tried copy-pasting the card itself, but that doesn't seem to work since the all the cards are treated as 1 card. I do not want to manually add the duplicates into the deck beforehand. In addition, I can't seem to find to a way to put a specific card back into the deck; you can only recall all cards in either the player's hands or the table. Is there a way to recall a single card?

I don't think modifying the deck is going to work.  I don't think new cards go into it until you shuffle, at the very least.  My suggestion would be to place all the cards in ahead of time, then draw out the ones you want removed and either play them on the table somewhere, or hold them in the hand of a non-player.  When you want one in the deck, discard it and reshuffle. The only way to put one specific card back in the deck is to discard just that card and reshuffle the deck, as far as I know.

Very annoying, since Tabletop Sim can do this exact thing I want to do, but not everyone in my group has Tabletop Sim so I have to compromise and use Roll20. I guess that's the price of free. I've also found that duplicated cards (copy-pasted cards) don't count as cards until there is only one instance of it left, since the duplicates don't go into the discard pile. Duplicated cards can be placed in player hands and work just fine, but recalling them from hands makes them count as one card. Weird.

Decks could definitely use some love.  That duplicate cards thing sounds weird and not what I would expect.  I'll have to try that out.
I ended up doing the following: Created a deck with 9 copies of that card. Rolled a 1d[decksize] whenever a player drew to see if they got a scaffolding instead Dealt them a copy instead of the card they'd normally draw. Annoying, but it's a workaround that works, I guess.
