I run Lamentations of the Flame Princess sort of Advanced Basic D&D with a unique power creep solution.  Surprisingly tactical and fighter based system.  There is no Fireball solutions as Fireball and Lightning do not exist.  Spell Casters are forced to find more creative methods.
