Having temporarily defeated Gareth, Dael informs the five that he believes he can trust them to return the Sphere without him as he other matters to attend to. Wrapping the Sphere in a red silk of protection he hands it back to Leonithas before darting off into the thick forest and out of sight. The five are left alone in the ruins where they then part way with Majo who leaves the group on her own adventure. The remaining four decided to return to Ravensholme, going back through the caverns to the Greenhills. As they exited the caverns to the Greenhills, a lumbering Goliath came upon them returning from a recent hunt through the woods. After introductions, Larg (the Goliath) invited the four back to his campsite for the night and to share in the boar he had killed. The four welcomed the rest, and the meal, and followed Larg through the woods toward his campsite where they settled before a fire. A heated exchange of words between Leonithas and Bardryn brought the unwanted attention of two roaming Gnolls riding wolves engaging a battle which was quickly ended. The rest of the night passed without incident. The next morning, the five adventurers set out through the Greenwoods toward Ravensholme with Leonithas in the lead. Unused to the dense foliage and the area, Leonithas' directions were not thoroughly true and soon the company came across a small group of Goblins. A more lengthy battle was raged; however, the five overcame their foes, slaying three of the Goblins while one that remained hidden for most of the battle escaped into the woods. The five then completed their journey to Ravensholme where they went about their own business in the town for the rest of the day. Leonithas spent most of the afternoon waiting at the market before being told to go to the Apothecary for his needs. Larg waited with him using the time to find someone they could hire themselves to for the journey north. Both then ventured to the Apothecary where Larg offered up his stash of herbs to the store owner to get a generous discount on the potion of healing. Bardryn went to the smithy where she sold the weapons she had scavenged from the battle, then she and Naivara went to the horseyard in an attempt to purchase a horse for their journey. Unfortunately, Naivara was unsuccessful; Bardryn walked away with her pony. When they met at the Inn later in the day, Larg and Bardryn had a friendly drinking wager which Larg won. Larg then saw the merchant he was advised to find and, with a little of sensual persuasion from Naivara, they were hired as escorts to the Merchant for their journey north the Gogalla Empire and the town of Ealinor.
