I understand that If I really want to play games that I should be seeking them out instead of putting myself on a shelf that probably won't get looked at, but I'm a bit too shy to really shove myself into people's faces. My actual TTRPG experience falls solely under D&D 5e and has basically been friends or aquaintances trying to introduce me to the game, only end up as the only player (So I end up surrounded by DMPCs and it's basically the DM trying to make sure that my HP doesn't fall to 0 to avoid being in a situation where they're just playing the game by themself.), the group falls appart due to wildly different irl situations or the DM ends up joining another game as the player and just bailing. From my experience, I've pretty much only played the more magic based classes.. with Sorcerer and Cleric being the ones I've gotten to experience most, a very short one off adventure as a circle of the moon druid, and I've not been able to try out either Warlock, Bards or Wizards. In terms of what I'd want to play in a group, I wouldn't mind trying out either Rogue or Warrior in terms of martial classes.. but in the event a caster would be needed I'd happily make a warlock since I do honestly like the class, despite the short commings of becoming the [Eldritch Blast] Per round if not designed around avoiding that once spells run out. In terms of Character level, I've never made it past 3.. although that'll likely change over the next month. Finally, I am Australian and quite poor. I don't mind trying other TTRPGs besides 5e, but I don't have any of the books and thus can only access what can be found through google searches. 5e is by far what I'm the most aquainted with, and I honestly find it to be rather simple in terms of rules. I've heard that Pathfinder is a fun alternative, although I've also heard that some of it's rules are much more complicated.. and would probably take me awhile to get aquainted with, assuming I'm able to find something like the player's handbook for it.
